These ruins are currently under renovation. Just look beyond the machinery. We couldn't go inside the cathedral but we looked through the windows. The view from the once stately castle is magnificent. It was worth going, for sure.

Despite several buildings being closed (admission was free because of this) this is a beautiful place to revisit history and to take in some remarkable views. We watched the video that explained the history of the site which was very informative but the views were the highlight of our visit. It was a beautiful day and the countryside sparkled.

We stopped here on our way to the Blarney Castle. They are working on fixing up the castle so some areas were closed. Entrance was free because of that. We all enjoyed the visit. The views from up top were gorgeous and we got many beautiful pictures! I would recommend a stop here if you have the time.

Lots of Celtic crosses and scenic greenery in this area perched on a lovely Irish hillside. Great place for pictures.

This place is so ancient and so beautiful. you feel like you have stepped into a different time and can imagine the simple life of its time. The views surrounding this place are absolutely stunning and we visited on a perfect sunny day.

The Rock of Cashel has been on my bucket list since I found out my family was moving to Ireland. We visited once in Oct 2016 and again in March 2017. Both times they were working on different parts. In March admission was free because access to the inside of the cathedral was closed. We didn't mind and enjoyed walking... More

This place looked awesome - I would love to go back when it is not under repairs. They were kind enough to let us look around without charging, but just walking around the grounds made me want to see more - it has to be incredible inside.

The only reason I can't give this 5 stars is because we weren't allowed to see much because the winds were so strong. Scaffolding was flying. The good news is we weren't charged an entry fee. I am glad they took our safety into consideration.
