In the Victorian era, Leixlip was an attraction for a day out for the people of Dublin. The rapids, the "Lachs Ljaup" or "Salmon Leap" have been submerged under a reservoir that serves the ESB and Dublin water. There even used to be an electric...More

This could have been a nice local tourist attraction with the potential of offering nice educational walks and picnic areas. However, the spa itself is terribly neglected and full of rubbish and there isn't even a bridge/path connecting it to the waterfall. Do not waste...More

Very interesting spot to stop if you feel like stretching your legs. Leixlip Spa is situated opposite Louisa Bridge Train Station and right beside the canal. It's a lovely place to walk the dog.

I would love to give the Leixlip Spa 5 stars as it could be a beautiful place but unfortunately there are several NON Eco friendly 'guests' who insist on throwing their empty bottles into the bath. The area near and around the Spa is beautiful...More

Beautiful old spa that was renovated not so long ago. In a secluded location so prone to cider parties and graffiti, despite being 200m from the police station. Sadly, Kildare County Council are happy to shrug their shoulders and claim there's nothing they can do...More
