Good for walking the dog as you have a choice of going on the pebbles or along the top which is flat, there is a pay and display carpark and most of the time there was a refreshment van.

Very moving to be at the site of the Slapton Sands tragedy of 1944. A beautiful setting, lovely little town, and a recovered Sherman tank as a memorial to those who died there.

Simply an excellent spot . Easy parking , great beach access and good food to be had - all you need is the weather. Great views and sad recent WW2 history to reflect on.
