- RRDubai, United Arab Emirates66 contributionsCold and Blue Kawasan FallsClear turquoise water from mountain spring located in the jungle. No worries to trek and walk as it is safe for all ages. Improvement have gone along the way and it is very accessible. You can also do a lot of adventure and canyoneering. Expect some entrance fee and some tourist guide can assist you as well.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 December 2023
- SuperFlip22Los Angeles, California10 contributionsSo much fun!Aside from the Coron to El Nido Castaway trip, the canyoneering is easily in second place for the best thing we did while in the Philippines (3 weeks). Great guides and so much fun with so much adrenaline especially the last jump. When we got to the end of the tour, we were ready to go back to the top of the falls and do the whole thing over again.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 1 May 2024
- Lucas IAsia217 contributionsSuper touristy and many feesParking, lovker and entrance fee exceeding 300 pesos, and all you get is access to one of many falls, which is extremely touristy and packed. Cannyonering tour gives more access, but I’m not sure if it’s worth doing. Sad to see such a beautiful place being commercialised.Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 1 June 2024

Be prepared to walk 1.5Km from your drop off point just to see this beautiful waterfall. The path is cemented and there are portions that are not. The water is cold but clean. Your effort is all worth it. For you to swim in the waters you need to have life vest and the area is secured with rope so don’t dare to cross beyond the rope for your safety. The place is crowded with many chairs and tables that can be rented. There’s abundant food and drinks you can order. But if you choose not to rent a chair and a table that can be done also. Your tour guide will pay your entrance fee in your behalf.

We went on a canyoneering trip, finishing at the falls. This was excellent and well worth it. We also went later in the week early in the morning, going directly to the waterfall. It was 6am, so we had the place to ourselves, which was nice, but if you're going to make the journey I would recommend doing both together, or it's a fair trip for a fairly short activity.

my husband and i rent a scooter and went to see the kawasan falls, unfortunatly if you want to do the jumping from one waterfall to another, you have to take a local guide...we found a young guide just standing outside the waterfall and paid him for the tour. it was amazing! if you'r afraid of hights dont do the tour because thers a 12 meter jump and its scary or fun for people who like extreme.

Pictures are deceiving. This place is so crowded it’s not even funny. The only reason we went here is that half the group went canyoneering and the other half of elderly and children stayed behind. Paid 500 pesos for a table at the falls so my elderly parents could sit and wait for the group. Otherwise, good luck finding a seat. Place is overrated. Only come if you plan to be here at the crack of dawn or canyoneering.

Beautiful falls, blue water, slides, cliff diving, rope diving, swimming and a bit of nature walk. What could we ask for more. As one get stunned by the beauty of the place, one can enjoy as much and have a great time.
There were people yet can enjoy the sound of nature and water falls.
I had a great time and enjoyed very bit.

Dubbed as one of Cebu’s Pride and indeed it lived up to its name. Perfect place for a quick getaway. With its pristine blue waters, it magically washes away the stressful days. Truly a true definition of beauty and adventure.

A bit of trekking, and a lot of sliding and jumping. It was a super fun experience and the color of the water makes the experience even better.
Our guide was very supportive and fun, my partner was not comfortable doing jumps and the guide found out ways and tracks for him to experience the falls without jumping.
Area near the main fall gets very crowded.
Non- swimmers can do it too, just tell your guide in advance.

Certainly worth a visit. We visited not on a canyoneering tour and without a guide. 45 pesos per person entry. Nice waterfalls with multiple levels/ bits to explore. Get there as early as possible; when we first arrived (just after 8am) first level was still relatively quiet, but as we were leaving around 10.30am it was extremely busy. Quieter areas if you continue up the steps and follow the paths.

Fantastic canyoning river
Overcrowded, but very good fun. A lot of jumping, sliding and swing. For 1500php~30 euro was included transfer (local motorbike and trycicle), and lunch. We really enjoyed.

For nature lover, this place is perfect for you. It’s a 2 to 3 hours ride from the city and a little walk from the highway, but that long travel is really worth it. Beautiful falls, clear and cold water. For those who love adventure, have fun and enjoy the canyoneering. Recommended place to visit.

Is the falls open and accessible or still closed due to floods ??
Written 25 January 2023
I want to go down the canyon but I'm not great with heights!! I've read that you don't have to do the jumps after the first one - does this mean you can swim all the way down to Kawasan falls, or would you be stuck just walking on a track alongside the water if you don't want to jump in from massive heights?
Written 26 November 2020
Hi, my partner completed the whole circuit without doing a single jump. The guides will give you an alternate route. Yes, you'll be walking alongside the track for just a couple of minutes. The rest of the time you'll be floating, swimming, scrambling like everyone else.
However, you need to tell the guides in advance about your preferences.
Hope this helps. :)

I dont know how to swim and i can see they have lifejackets around. I wanna try all the jumps i could get. Is it safe? Like do they have enough guides/lifeguards around? 😂
Written 8 March 2020
Yes. There are enough guides, and lifeguards.

We are with my one year old daughter. Is this place accessible and safe to bring an infant?
Written 24 January 2020
Yes - it's a wide easy level path to the falls. You are near water most of the way so obviously take the usual precautions for a child near water - don't let them out of your sight for 1 second.

Bonjour,

I’m bringing my daughter to the Philippines for Spring Break. She’s 9. Is she old enough to go on a guided Canyoneering trip with me?
Written 19 January 2020
Yes I think they will allow her to join as long as she is not scared of jumping in the waterfalls. It is just safe since one needs to wear a life jacket and head gear for protection.

Do they have lockers and if so, how much?..
Someone mentioned if only viewing the falls you are only allowed level 1 is this true? can you still visit all levels just for photo opportunities?
Written 25 August 2019
Yes they hace lockers u have to pay 200 pesos

I read in the reviews that you must rent a life jacket to swim in the falls. Is this true?
Also, it sounds like the canyoneering is basically just moving downriver from above the falls until you get to the main falls at Kawasan. Is it possible to do this on one's one? Is a rope required?
Written 11 February 2019
Yes, everybody has to wear a life jacket for canyoning. Ideal is if you go through an agent because they know all about safety there. Every agency has a certain plan what they do during the canyoning. It's not just moving from there to here. It's actually very enjoyable. A rope is not required when you hike to the falls. I did the canyoning with Cyan agent and they are honestly the best because they do care about your safety, I wouldn't do it on my own for sure. I don't think it's safe. I met people going for it with different agencies and there were accidents by not following the safety.
