A Stunning Underworld Experience, the Great Stalactite at Doolin Cave is one of Europe's most compelling cave attractions. It is a truly unique and breathtaking experience:- the largest stalactite in the Norhern Hemisphere. Doolin Cave has a Farmland Nature Trail, which is FREE for its visitors. We have unusual breeds of chickens, sheep, cattle and alovely pygmy goat called Minnie, with her little kid called Vincent Van Goat or Vinnie for short. We have also planted lots of native trees and shrubs and wildflower meadows. Our cafe serves lovely fresh salads, soups, breads and homemade cakes We are very proud to announce that we have recently been awarded a Gold Award from Ecotourism Ireland. Hurray!

Hi Alexandre, thank you for your review of Doolin Cave. There are 125 step in and out of the cave which can be difficult for some people, but great exercise! We are glad you enjoyed the experience and hope you will consider coming back to visit us again in the future. More

Jim was such an incredible guide when going down to the cave. Be prepared with good walking shoes and a jacket as you may think it is chilly down that far underground. I thought it was perfect weather but definitely need good shoes! It was a great experience and something we are very happy that we did. The nature walk... More

The views of the cave were amazing! I thought our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The stairs are very slippery going down into the cave, so be sure to wear shoes with good tread.

Climbing into to the cave and hearing the history about the caves in the area, and in particular the Doolin Cave was very interesting. In the center, with the lights off, it is so dark that you cannot see your hand in front of your face. Then, the lights are turned back on and the giant stalactite is illuminated. Breathtaking!

An incredible experience. Our tour took about 40-45 minutes, lead by the amazing tour guide Jim, who's enthusiasm and wit alone made the trip memorable and worthwhile! The caves were immensely beautiful, and created a unique experience as we explored the cave without interference until The Great Stalactite, which was revealed in spectacular fashion, with the lights being completely dimmed... We had a few hours open after the cliffs walk and decided to pop over to the cave. The giant stalactite is truly awe-Inspiring and pictures do not do it justice. The tour itself is about 45 minutes and maybe is a bit pricey for the walk, but we consider it a good investment in the area and it also... More

Hi Joanna, thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the experience, the ticket price reflects the fact that the attraction is a small privately owned operation, with small tour numbers. There is a cheaper ticket available online if you book in advance. We hope you will come back to visit again should you be in the area. More

The tour of the caves takes about 45/50 minutes with a guide and it is a must do if you are ever over the West side of Ireland.

Due to wet weather our group couldn't go our on the water so we were looking for a suitable wet weather activitiy. We didn't pre book but the receptionist happily took our group of 12 and offered us the group discount at the door. The tour guide was very informative and passionate about the caves. The caves themselves are spectacular... More
