Had a great 2 night stay on an electric hook up pitch. Kids loved the play areas. Restaurant and bar is affordable and decent quality.
We hired a large paddle board for 1/2 day and had a ball!! £60 but was cheaper than hiring individual boards and was good fun.
Lake was clean and clear. We loved it!
The hire costs were expensive and we would have done more had it been a bit cheaper. Pedalo for £35/hr is more than Centre Parcs which is a shame. If they had been £20 we would have hired one of those too!
Showers and loos were clean.
Electric hook up point was mikes from our tent but the lady on reception leant us a longer cable and was really helpful.
Be warned early entry/late exit costs £5 more which seems odd. I’d rather they just added a tenner to the booking and you could stay all day rather than feeling charged for getting there early/staying after you have packed away.
Could definitely do with a little shop onsite for bread/milk/pastries etc.
We will definitely be back next year!

Sadly it seems to me croft farm waterpark relies on its lake. A wonderful asset..though chemically treated to avoid algae blooms. Certainly the watersports were fun. But there the happy camping experience ends. The top field is an outside the car entry fob system..anyone can drive up gates are never locked..no safety and right next to the road. Lack of wardens on this field led to late night and early morning pitching late night friend visits drugs and curfew breaking observed over the 5nights we stayed. At our end of the park there were 4female toilets 2male plus urinals and 6showers in each area us disabled shower of each sex. But the toilets and showers were filthy, water luke warm and there was nowhere for a wash bag .a hook and rail for towels and clothes got soaked as soon as water was on ..most days and times we queued in male and female for both. The field we camped in was littered with rubbish we litter picked before pitching and every day. There were no electric hook ups when we booked..but in a bid to make money..no provision to freeze blocs or refrigerate stuff..no licked phone chargers so people ran their cars to solve the issue. Add to that slot of teenage groups camping without parents, at least two groups smoking drugs that really could be smelt a mile off and a number of children playing without any consideration of others cars or property and families that didn't seem to carethat their children were irresponsible. The washing up sinks...2...for an entire field one draining board no cover water taps not over the bowl and no cover...leave much to be desired. Worst the booking system is awful .during our stay many electric hook ups were free throughout.. likewise many occupied for only one night or at most two then empty the rest of our stay ....some smart booking, clean hot showers better camping facilities proper pitches, admission of the wind exposure on site and quiet fields for famies would be good. Lights out 11.30and lack of wardens results in noise at 12..1...from some groups and 5-6am starts from little ones....there is no am curfew. This campsite would do well to look at what those nearby offer..next year they are opening a shop..I assume with the cafe and watersports to make even more money....but honestly a cheap chest freezer proper shower facities and washing up and better safety..would be all be my priority. Of course using the lake is great..but my advice is stay somewhere safer better facilities and designed to cater kindly to campers without ignoring reports or shoulder shrugs...then go here or another lake as a Day tripper. I did btw report the drugs....no response at all from the site.

Thank you for the comprehensive review of Croft Farm Water Park.
It would seem you have had a very difficult time for which I apologise although I am not aware you made any of your concerns known whilst on site.
I will address the issues raised…….
The lake is treated with a vegetable dye to help with excessive weed and algae growth, your suggestion it is chemically treated is correct, but you put a negative slant on our pro-active stance to improve the water quality for our many guests.
You are concerned about security and so are we as park managers that is why we are re-locating our reception to nearer the main entrance so that all guests will have to pass through security although even now our main gates are locked at night.
You will be aware that the camping field is next to our internal road, not the main highway and is fully fenced for security, many families love this field as they can camp altogether without too much formality in pitch layout.
There are sufficient toilets and showers for the number of guests, I don’t accept they were filthy although inevitably with many families enjoying themselves on the water they are never going to be pristine for very long despite our 3 times per day cleaning regime.
There will no doubt be some rubbish on the field although I don’t accept the field was littered and our wardens do carry out the thankless task of picking up other people rubbish.
We will freeze ice blocks and charge phones if people ask at reception and of course we don’t charge for either service, when our new reception is built, we will indeed have a small freezer for guests use.
We do give young people the opportunity to camp, we ask them to behave and when they don’t we ask them to leave and incidentally get bad reviews for kicking them off site when they cannot abide by the park rules!
We do ask guests to be quiet by 11.30am and have a warden with a duty phone that can be called, we encourage people to use it rather than moan on review sites. We will not be imposing a morning curfew, when babies and kids wake up they make a noise!
You are completely wrong about our reason for opening a shop, it is one of most common reasons for complaint that guests, particularly those in motor homes cannot get the essentials, I personally doubt it will make much money.
I agree we can always do better and do take on board your more reasonable comments but, in the meantime, suggest next time you book somewhere more suitable to your personal needs.

The lake is great & restaurant is also very good the only disappointment was we went on a very busy weekend and the toilet facilities couldn’t cope with the amount of visitors. Also the noise cut off time is very late at 11.30pm with young children this can be difficult, when we contacted the warden about some very noisy music until late next to our caravan we was ignored on x2 occasions.

Very nice place to visit if you like Watersports. We had a lovely pitch right next to the lake and our kids just loved messing about in the lake.

Poor standards of toilets, no showers in bottom camping field. For £35 a pitch you’d expect better. Also hidden fees on everything. Even lost £5 key fob deposit for the pleasure of sitting in the cafe while kids spent more money on water sports .
Feeling robbed.

There is no reason for Gary to feel robbed as on the website and our camping tags displayed on tents it states that – “late departure may be available at £5 supplement”. I think he mentioned he was placing a poor review if he did not get his deposit returned.

Finally got here 2 and a half years after original booking.
They honoured the booking and charged no more.
Fabulous time. Did a different water activity each day….all of which were out of my comfort zone! Had an ace time.

Friends
fabulous caravan park, good sized pitches, check in was easy and given loads of information. Booked to have my nails done and that too was excellent
the best pitches are on the lake side but have also stayed further back in the field. Toilets and showers were clean and warm
Bar on site with good range of beers and lovely food

Our second visit here at Croft Farm. This time we took my in-laws and they were also blown away. It superseded our last stay.
We stayed in the new ‘Green Oak’ lodge and oh my goodness!! The location was absolutely stunning with views across the lake.
Everything is within easy reach including Bourton on the water and stow on the wold.
The only tiny gripe which wouldn’t of mattered if it was just adults staying was the Wi-Fi. It’s very intermittent and drops out quite regularly! My 4 year old couldn’t use his iPad when trying to wind down in the evening. In the previous lodge we stayed in, it had a router in the living room. It didn’t in Green Oak just a whole site network I think!
We will definitely be returning. My in laws have already asked when can we return! Thanks again Croft Farm 🙃

Have been here many times but cannot believe thay have doubled the car park fee, £20 is a bit steep on top of the water activities and the cafe!

Second time of asking but are you allowed to have a bbq on the lodge decking ?? I e mailed hoseasons s two weeks ago and Croft farm lodge two days ago and no response whatsoever

I don’t know the conclusive answer to this but the parking space for our lodge was made up gravel/hard standing so I would say that if permitted to bbq, this would be a safe bet as there is no fire/damage risk.
Apologies it’s not a direct answer…

Hello,
It is not possible to fish in the lake however we have access to the River Avon where you are able to fish.
Many thanks.
Are you allowed to swim in the lake🏊♂️🏊♀️

Yes. First thing in the morning and last thing in the evening the lake is very quiet. Best to wear a bright hat and tow bouy. I loved it. The water is beautifully warm. During the day the lake can get very very busy... but there are still lots of adults and kids playing in the water - I wouldn’t swim then though
