Belsay Castle is an English Heritage property. What I find this place has turned out to be. We had a great day out, it's like the movie secret garden just amazing.

This is a beautiful place. Had a lovely day here. Coffee shop, gift shop, easy walking, beautiful flowers, obviously better visited in spring/ summer to get the best of the flowers

Visiting Belsay Hall you are invited to walk through the quarry gardens to visit the older castle buildings. Its well worth the effort! Largely ruined castle with added wings but great to explore and the quarry gardens are amazing.

Super location to explore on a nice day. Lots to see, rarely gets too crowded, plenty of interest for history buffs and a nice coffee shop at the end. Recommended by me, a visitor on many occasions.
