Hi there, I was there in 2016 & all I did was just turn up & just talk to some of the warungs owner which most will offer you surf lessons & also beach chairs. Just remember to ask a few so you could compare the price.

Hi, you can just show up and rent boards and take lessons. Boards all seem to rent for 50 rupiah for anywhere between 2 hours and a full day...negotiate it. Definitely make sure to get board cost included in lesson cost. It's about 30 minute scooter ride from kuta. Jusr follow sigbs to the beach. It costs 10 rupiah to park at beach ....their version of paid security. I don't think locals have to pay. It appeared they took 10 rupiah and played cards/gambled with it every day we were there. Very relaxed place and beautiful. You can purchase beach food and drinks there. Hope this helps.
