The sand is fine and white, the sea is blue, we were the only one there - well, beside two huge sea eagles. That was quite amazing.

I visited this place few years before. It was almost impossible to get there but the view and the beach was breathtaking. Now it is much easier to get there and more and more visitors go there. You can see by an increasing ammount of...More

Joined the 1st Mekaki Half Marathon a few days ago. A great run and well organised overall. Tough as the incline on the coast to coast run was high. The beach and surrounds are stunning ... worth a visit for sure

Beautifull colours and wild nature. The landscape is breathtaking and the beach is deserted, so the feeling is great. Not very good for swimming since the draft is very strong and the waves are powerful.

Amazing beach, untouched nature behind and nice big waves. Was almost deserted. Only downside is the typical trash everywhere.

Yes, I love this mekaki beach. due to less people visit the beach, it felt like my private beach. It's location is quite far, but it can be reached by car or motorcycle. Better bring your own food and visit in the evening. The waves...More
