We go nearly every week and it can't be beaten. Beef so tender it can be cute with a fork. Vegetables are plentiful and fresh. One of the best features is the fact that dogs and walkers can eat in the bar and people who would rather a restaurant setting can eat up a few steps.

Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff. We had to book for Sunday lunch as it is a busy venue. My elderly in-laws really enjoyed their lunch. We had turkey, beef and the nut roast, plus they had pudding, apple and mixed fruit crumble with custard. We could have had fish or a choice of vegetarian options. Perfect. The staff were especially kind... More

I love this pub. Warm, friendly atmosphere. Good choice of home cooked food. Very reasonable. Parking at the back. The homemade key lime cheesecake was to die for! My plaice in dill and cream sauce was perfectly cooked and delicious with wonderful freshly cooked vegetables - carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, swede and new and roast potatoes. My husband is veggie and... More

What a fantastic place to visit. Great atmosphere and welcoming staff led by Valerie the owner. Food was superb and well worth a visit to the pub and the area. Nothing was too much trouble. Keep up the good work.

We were so glad to find this pub, after consulting Trip Advisor, where it had great reviews. The food and welcome certainly lived up to the reviews we had read. We both had lovely meals, with very generous portions and at very reasonable prices. We would definitely return if we are in the area again.

Been here a few times had lovely service with amazing food. Sea bass is amazing and very fresh, also tried Sunday lunch today and have to say it's fantastic. Pork or beef today which just melted in your mouth with plenty of veg too. Great pint of lager too lol. Well done all definitely see you soon.

Just visited this pub for the second time in three days. Called in for a pint ( or two) initially and then returned to eat as we were impressed by the food we'd seen. Our second visit didn't start as intended as we called in to watch the football and eat. No football on the TV but the barman couldn't... More

So far on my journey around the UK this pub will leave a soft spot on me. I came on a Monday night and ordered gambit steak and a pint. After getting along with staff and fellow patrons so well I ended up getting a few more pints. This pub reminded me I was in Wales where everyone can be... More

Beautiful home cooked food, you must try the fish, absolutely gorgeous. In fact the whole Menus is lovely. Specials Board has an excellent choice too!! We have had Sunday lunch there a few times, but be warned booking is advisable as they get really full. Even though we had booked last Sunday, table was still full, but opted to eat... More
