- Ricky C62 contributionsUnexpected and unique corner of SardiniaBeautiful experience! Highly recommended, you can admire ancient rocks, extraordinary karst formations and mineral crystals with unusual shapes. A special thanks to the guide Marco, truly very knowledgeable and friendly.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten 3 April 2024
- frannYLandquart, Switzerland89 contributionsGreat experienceAfter a winding drive you reach the grotto. There is a parking lot right there. Tickets can be bought online or on site. There is a playground and a cafe. Prices are OK. The cave is with a guided tour. Very large and breathtaking caveVisited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 April 2024
- giopetrilloTurin, Italy247 contributionsA pleasant outingOn holiday in Pula we decided to take a trip to visit these caves. Granted that I didn't have high expectations but instead I was favorably impressed. The visit lasts about an hour and the guide we had was very knowledgeable and helpful. I recommend it if you are on holiday in the area. In June we paid €13 per person.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 10 June 2024
- clalumaMilan, Italy166 contributionsAmazing room of eccentrics.Go absolutely!Taking advantage of a not wonderful day in Chia, without high expectations compared to other caves (even in Sardinia) we were instead really amazed by the conformations of the last sala. molto very happy to have come, this cave with this room is really unique! Guide prepared and nice, makes the visit interesting even for childrenVisited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 July 2024
- MAtikFrance367 contributionsTo seeVery nice cave with different rooms. The tour lasts about an hour. A description in French is available at the entrance which is very convenient when you do not understand Italian. Provide clothing to cover up as the temperature difference between the outside and inside can be striking. Restaurant on site.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 August 2024

Different activity compared to the sea, ideal when it is very windy or the weather is bad. The excursion is pleasant, the price is fair, the guides make the tour even more interesting by showing off a very fine and pleasant humour. Our guide (I think her name was Marta) was nice, prepared and with Marina Massironi-style humor in her "let's shudder" which made the underground walk pleasant. The caves present particularities that I haven't seen even in Frasassi (famous caves in my area) and this made the tour very interesting. Well done, get it done

Very beautiful cave, although in our opinion not the most impressive in Sardinia. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth a visit, especially if you enjoy the large variety of stalactites. There are also very special, delicate, almost unique shapes. Like many Sardinian show caves, it is surprisingly large. There are quite a few stairs and steps, so you should be agile.

Magical experience, a hidden natural wonder and (despite the work of man) truly well preserved. The route is accessible to adults and children (even if there are many stairs) and is guided very well, in an interesting and pleasant way. The trattoria at the entrance is also very noteworthy: excellent quality/price, local wines and foods, tasting menu for 35 euros.

Undoubtedly a fascinating cave system and the aragonite crystals are amazing (don’t recall seeing these in any other caves). Whole experience tainted though by the guide - trip advisor reviews suggest tours in English. Thought it was the same today when the guide made a point of asking who was Italian, English etc and then giving brief in English. That was it though and the entire tour was only in Italian. This would have been fine if we hadn’t been given the impression that it would be multilingual. This was compounded by the guide giving French tourists a laminated guide in French. We noticed on the way out these were available in English too, but he hadn’t bothered to highlight this to us (again, fine not to do the tour in English but why not give us the English language guide?). As my 10 year old son concluded, it seemed he was just being rude.
Such a shame as it was a interesting place and reasonable value.

It's always wonderful to go back.
This time, I went in with my youngest son, and he too got caught up in the beauty. The guide was very efficient and very nice, therefore, making the route very fascinating. The caves are beautiful and unique, I highly recommend them to anyone who hasn't been there yet. By now, I have been going there every now and then since the early '90s, now with a friend, now with a relative, but I have never gotten tired of it, in fact.....passed with flying colors!

Very interesting. You need to dress with comfortable shoes and a sweater because it is a constant 16 degrees in the cave. The visit lasts about 1 hour and 15 minutes more or less.
Two guys who acted as very kind and courteous guides
Go because it's very interesting
When you go out there is a very good restaurant

Very nice visit to make!
Nice walk of around an hour, entrance ticket at 12€
The visit is given in English or Italian but there are small information sheets in French, very appreciated!
Go there with good shoes that slip a little and a little wool (it’s 16 degrees inside)

Great place to visit.
We escaped the heat of the day to descend into the caves where it’s 16c year round.
Many thanks to Paolo, our guide, who spoke excellent English.
Lunch in the restaurant was absolutely delicious.
