A great day out
Oct 2021 • Family
An excellent day out with our grandchildren aged 11 10 and 8. Lots to do and see, they loved the different playground areas, as well as looking at the animals.
We liked the attention given to the animals’ needs, especially the beavers having tree trunks to gnaw at. The enclosures meant that the animals were really close to the children. The staff were friendly and helpful in answering any questions the kids had, and the place has tried hard with dealing with the Covid precautions.
We were there for about five and a half hours and no one was bored at all.

Great day out!
Oct 2021
My first visit with my 3 year old Grandson, we loved it all! Staff were all helpful and friendly, lovely lunch at the restaurant, soft play was perfect! There is a huge variety of lovely animals that were clearly happy, very well cared for with great information for visitors to read, plenty of child size hand wash stations along the way! Lots of dinosaurs, diggers, train ride and a helicopter all in one place, a great, reasonably priced day out for us! Thankyou we will certainly return!

Perfect family adventure
Aug 2021 • Family
Absolutely brilliant family day out! Loved it from start to finish and the kids found so much to do - they particularly liked the animal handling and the Dino train (there’s times for these set activities that are pointed out upon entry - it’s worth taking a look!) Visited with a 3 year old and a 10 year old and it’s sometimes difficult to find somewhere that suits both, but this place was perfect as there’s plenty for all ages. The animals looked very well cared for and happy (I’m no expert but every enclosure was clean and majority had things to play with etc.) and there was plenty of handwashing stations after any animal contact. The farm walkthrough was also lovely - the goats are very cheeky! The dinosaur areas were very informative - my eldest really enjoyed learning about the different dinosaurs. All staff were helpful and I did see a member of staff cleaning a few times throughout my visit so that was good to see. Although it was busy being in school holidays, there’s lots of space to spread out so it didn’t feel overcrowded. Soft play is also currently capped at a certain capacity and needs to be pre-booked - which is very sensible in the current climate.

All in all, friendly staff, a wide variety of play, well cared for animals, and great for Dino enthusiasts! Will return!

Fun for all the family
Aug 2021
We had a great day out at All Things Wild as a group of 4 adults and 6 kids (ranging from 1 to 13 years old). While not as big as a dedicated zoo, there's a wide array of animals, with highlights including the beavers (the kids loved going through the tunnel to the cube in the middle of their enclosure), bactrian camels, huge Burmese python, tamarins and lemurs. Aside from the animals, there's a very impressive dinosaur 'safari' where you can see several dozen life-sized models, which the kids (and the adults :)) loved. There are also various play zones, although some of these could do with sprucing up and equipment updating. There’s also a large soft play area, but you need to prebook a slot. When we booked our admission tickets the day before we visited, there were no slots left, so we couldn't go to the soft play. Frankly this wasn't a big deal for us, but if you want to visit the soft play, I'd suggest booking a few days in advance, certainly during school holidays anyway

Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit and found plenty to do for all ages! Thank you for your useful comments regarding the soft play - yes, due to us currently having a capacity on this (due to our covid measures), it does get fully booked a few days in advance during the holidays. You can always check at the front desk throughout the day on your visit to see if we have had any cancellations - if we have then we are happy to re-release those tickets. Thank you again for taking the time to leave us a review and we hope to see you again soon!

OK but needs a good clean
Aug 2021 • Family
Visited with our 2 small children as we were visiting the local area. We spent 3hrs here and filled the time easily, it could be a fantastic place but the lack of cleanliness and state of some of the enclosures was really off-putting

Positives:
Staff were helpful
Outdoor sections were good with nice walk through areas
The interactive sand area was great and our children loved making volcanoes appear with it
The soft play area was a good size
Nice outdoor play area and some good outdoor bits for children such as the helicopter and digger
Nice range of animals

Issues:
The toilets were filthy, the larger disabled/changing one was the only one I allowed my children to use as is was the less grim of the ones available
Some of the enclosures were disgusting, the indoor rabbit one was in desperate need of cleaning as was the degu enclosure just to
name a couple
The coffee in the cafe is not great and the babycinnos were scalding (a lot of places top with cold milk rather than serving them red hot)

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed lots of aspects to your visit. The interactive sand play has been a new addition over the summer is proving to be very popular! Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that the toilets were not up to our usual high standards on your visit - these do get checked and cleaned at various points in the day so we apologise if these checks were left later than usual on your visit - we have unfortunately been short staffed over the last week, which hasn't helped. The animal team have a strict enclosure cleaning schedule, so I can assure you that these enclosures would have had a deep clean later that day. We apologise if it was not explained to you that the babyccinos come out of the machine hot - we have cold milk on the side and usually advise that you top it up with the cold milk. Your feedback is much appreciated - thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

Over priced
Aug 2021 • Family
We’ve been here before about 4 years ago and the kids loved it, so we returned with the whole extended family this time but we were very disappointed.
The cost was extortionate, we were surprised that it costs the same amount for children to get in as it did the adults with no discount for senior citizens but neither the less paid ready for a fun day out.

The toilets, soft play area and indoor Dino barn were all desperately in need of a clean with thick dust and cobwebs on the dinosaurs. There were no staff members to be seen otherwise we would have told them about the state of the toilets.
We were surprised by how dirty the indoor areas were given that we’ve been stuck in the Covid pandemic we thought that cleaning would have been a priority.

The outdoor animal areas were fantastic and the kids loved seeing all the animals, especially the beavers and kangaroos.
The gift shop was very sparse but was over priced in our opinion. My son picked a small soft mammoth toy reading the price tag as £10.50 which I thought was expensive for what it was but I decided to buy it anyway as a treat, but we were told at the till that the price tag had faded and it was £16.50.

The children in our group enjoyed the day out, which is the main thing but a deep clean is definitely needed.

Thank you for your feedback. we are sorry you were disappointed with your visit and your comments will be taken on board. We can assure you that cleaning is a priority - our main focus over the holidays has been touchpoints such as door handles, play equipment, picnic benches, handwashing stations and toilets. We apologise that the toilets were not up to our usual high standards on your visit - these do get checked and cleaned at various points in the day so we apologise if these checks were left later than usual on your visit - over the last week we have been short-staffed which hasn't helped. We are pleased to hear that the children enjoyed their visit and thank you again for your feedback.

Disappointing visit
Aug 2021 • Family
We went for a family day out whilst on holiday in the area. Some areas were good such as the farmyard safari and area where you could pet rabbits. We enjoyed the zebras and kangaroos too.
However, some areas were really random, such as the dinosaur area and the undersea area, just lots of models of sharks and dinosaurs. Really don't know why these areas have not been used to extend the current enclosures. Also price wise in comparison to other similar places we have visited, we would consider it to be overpriced especially when you consider how many "real" animals are there for you to actually see and the facilities provided. The cage was a letdown due to the choice and quality, and the toilets were absolutely disgusting - I would have let a member of staff know but there was absolutely nobody around to tell.
There are no signposts directing you around the place but no maps available either.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We are pleased you enjoyed some parts of your visit - the farmyard safari walkthrough is always a favourite. We pride ourselves on having lots of variety and something to suit everyone - Our dinosaur area is very popular and often the main reason people come to visit us due to children (and some adults) having a large interest in dinosaurs - we have over 40 life-size dinosaurs in our 'Step Through Time' attraction, also with various informative signs about them. The 'Ocean Voyage' area with the shark replicas has TV's that explain about the conservation of sharks - and this again is mainly an informative area of the park. We find the combination of live animals, educational areas and lots of play areas works well, so we are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with this. Although the cafe has been on a reduced menu for takeaway purposes over the holidays, your feedback is taken on board. We apologise that the toilets were not up to our usual high standards on your visit - these do get checked and cleaned at various points in the day so we apologise if these checks were left later than usual on your visit - we have been short-staffed over the last week which hasn't helped. We do have a map on our website which is advisable upon booking to download before visiting - a member of staff would have also happily shown you where to find this or point you in the right direction. Thank you again for your feedback.

Lovely day out!
Aug 2021 • Family
I took my friends 3 year old here yesterday. We had a fantastic time, as soon as we got there we were informed of the times of different activities around the park & was suggested to take a pic of the board so we can see them all. There was lots of animals around for to see and we especially loved that you could walk through the farm animal enclosure & get right up close to the farm animal & stroke them. The dinosaur experience was amazing! There was so many to see both indoor & outdoor. My friends son is a huge Dino fan and couldn’t believe his eyes! We watched the time to ensure we could go on the train ride around the outdoor Dino experience at the times advertised at the ticket gate, it was only 50p each which is an absolute bargain! We fully loved the train experience, the conductor was very friendly, we did also walk around so we could see them up close which was a lovely walk both within trees & out, again there was a wide range of dinos, some in the trees too and fab info boards. We loved the Dino that you could sit in for photos.
All of the transport near the sand pit was a lovely additional feature that all the kids loved, my friends son spent 20 mins pretending to drive away from dinos in the jeep!
The outdoor playgrounds were fab esp the water play, there was lots to do in that area including a barefoot walk which you don’t see anywhere else! It’s a shame the mini golf wasn’t open due to covid but there was still loads to do! You could easily spend hours in this section alone.
Lots of toilets dotted around the park&food stalls (little bit over priced for ice creme but what children’s day out places arent!?)
Indoor attractions are excellent too, soft play & a beach!
Lovely gift shop.
There was lots of outdoor play climbing equipment near the exit for an arrange of ages.
All the staff we came across were super friendly & chatty to both me & my friends son, the lady who we paid for the train ride was really friendly & chatty& let him pick what colour token to get!
All excellent value for the money & you could spend so much time there! Highly recommend.

Thank you for your lovely review. We are so pleased that you had an enjoyable day out here. The farmyard safari walkthrough is a highlight for many - especially because of the cheeky goats! It's great to hear that your little dino enthusiast was impressed with our Step Through Time attraction and also managed to enjoy the train ride around them. Its great to hear that you all found plenty to do to keep you entertained throughout the day and that you made use of everything we have to offer. Your kind comments have been passed onto our staff. Thanks again for your review and we hope that you will return again soon!
