About
Honeybourne Pottery is a family business run by potter’s Alan & Annabel Cusack, who live and work in the beautiful countryside bordering the North Cotswolds. We specialise in both wheel- thrown and slab-built pieces, creating functional hand-crafted tableware. When were not busy making our own designs, we teach classes catering for individuals, families and groups. We welcome people of all ages - from complete beginners to those with more experience. Our studio and tranquil setting, create a calm space away from the stresses of the outside world, where people can escape for a few mindful hours learning about the beauty of clay. Workshops range from one-off potter’s wheel taster sessions, to longer courses; spanning 10-week terms, taught from our studio in Honeybourne. For more details and booking, please visit our website. We look forward to welcoming you to our studio!

Had a great morning learning how to throw pots on the wheel. Friendly and informative, as much clay as you needed (a lot ends up being recycled 😂) great for solo visitors as well as groups.

Would definitely recommend! Love the little vase I created.

Lovely light airy work space. Allen was great and we really enjoyed it. I would have given 5 stars if there has been any drinks or water or tea/coffee.. there was none on offer and when paying £200 for 3 hours, it would not have gone amiss. I also thought £2 to have an apron was a bit odd but hey ho, still paid it. Might come back again but possibly need more 'tutoring' as opposed to a demo, so may look at courses. This is an easy and relaxed experience with a lovely space. I would suggest everyone goes but perhaps take ur own drink and a snack if you're doing the half day.

Excellent afternoon spent at Honeybourne Pottery doing an hour and a half introduction to pottery.
Started with an initial demonstration and then we were let loose to try (and fail) as many times as we could in the time; Alan was on hand for encouragement and advice; our clay and water was continually replenished and our bucket of mishaps emptied
The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled, no judgement! The time flew by and we got to take home our best pot/dish/creation
A mix of couples and small groups of varying ages and skill
Highly recommend and hoping to go back and do a longer session at some point. Thank you to all at Honeybourne Pottery for a lovely Saturday afternoon!

We were a little nervous trying a new hobby but after a very warm welcome we soon settled into what proved to be an excellent day of pottery. We surprised ourselves at the results! Plus an excellent pub across the road for lunch. Thanks so much for the experience.

We booked an hour pottery class, from the moment we walked in they were absolutely lovely to us! They explained and demonstrated how to make a pot and to just have fun - which we did! I highly recommend! It was beautiful and relaxing in the studio, we had unlimited clay to use and took our pots home. A great experience and must do.

What a brilliant couple of hours. Something new to us, but we will definitely be back. A good mix of people and ages in the session and I think everyone enjoyed it. Managed to make quite a few dishes rather than bowls, but was really happy with the outcome. Although anything you didn't like just gets recycled, so no waste either. Allan was lovely and really helpful. Thank you.

I had a wonderful time at the Potter’s Wheel Half Day Workshop. The demonstrations were really helpful and I even managed to produce a few pots I was really happy with considering it was my first time!

Would highly recommend if you’re looking to get into pottery- it was a great introduction.

We had a fabulous taster session learning to make pots on the wheel. Alan was a very good teacher and we loved the whole process. Well worth the fee and we made some really good pots for a first attempt!

Thoroughly enjoyed my pottery experience. Alan was a great tutor and I learnt so much during the day, coming away with more pots than ever imagined. The whole experience was very therapeutic and totally relaxing. Will definitely be visiting again.

Alan was very knowledgable and friendly. We quickly learned that he makes it look a lot easier than it is, but was very clear and helpful in helping us learn! Had a lot of fun and got some cool pots to take home!
