The actual site is similar to the much more famous Sillustani but has almost no one visiting it. I went with a guide from Puno and we were the only people in the whole place. This allows you to do much more exploring. Similar to Sillustani there are huge funeral constructions, most are incomplete and are as the workers left... More

This site it only 30mins bus ride outside of Puno and is awesome. Get a taxi to cematario laykakota and there will be busses waiting near by to go to Laraqueri. Ask a passerby or your taxi driver if you can't see them. Hop on and ask the driver to stop at cutimbo. It's a reasonably strenuous walk up but... More

This is out of the main tourist circuit but you can get there in a private tour. As it is pretty close to Puno (about 20 min) it's cheap. I went there with my now fiancée and we were the only ones, besides the vizcachas. Totally recommended. There's also a site museum at the entrance where you need to buy... More
