I 've visited the place twice , once in winter, second time this July. The first learning is that you better chose a colder day , because the dried mud seems to reflect the sunlight and during the summer days the heat will dry you...More

After aproximately 2.5 hours drive from Bucharest, you reach Buzau county. Google maps is very accurate and you won't get lost even if it's your first troad trip to Buzau ;) The scenery is absolutely great and relaxing. When you get to the Volcanoes, you'll...More

Muddy volcanoes are one of the most beautiful places in Romania. The landscape is surreal and we felt like we've just landed on another planet. The volcanoes themselves are quite tiny - max 3 m, but the natural phenomena is extraordinary. All over the place...More

Is a very beautiful site, beware of the muddy explosions if there are any near the mouth of the volcanos. And the smell is not so great if you're close to them

I haven't asked about pets, but I imagine that dogs are allowed since the site is in plain nature. We were only told about the no smoking rule. Still be aware if you have a very active dog, since it is lot of mud there... :)
