A beautiful spot just a 20 minute train ride from central Copenhagen to Klampenborg station and just a 2 minute walk from there. Even in the evening there is plenty of activity with people playing volleyball on the beach or picnicking and chilling on the neighbouring grass bank. But it quietens down a bit as it gets dark and it is peaceful to sit on one of the short piers and enjoy watching the lights come on across the strait on the Swedish coast to the north and the Oresund Bridge to the south. One of my very favourite places in Denmark.

You can enjoy the sun and the beach in the summer. There will be many people in summer which makes it a fantastic vibe, kids also really enjoyed it

Took advantage of the beautiful weather and hopped on the train to spend the day at the beach mid vacation. Nice grassy area to lay out your towel plus quite a bit of sandy beach too. Lots of happy people enjoying the water. Views of Sweden on a clear day.

Bellevue is a nice beach. nice in the summer you can go to grill. or just hang out whit friends it is easy to get there-there is grass and sand d you can choose what you prefer

We didn't have high expectations of this place as Denmark is not famous for its beaches but this place is still able to compete with any other summer destinations. Of course it's nothing like Spain/Greece but for a nice and sunny afternoon in Copenhagen will do. I strongly recommend going there by bicycle since the journey will take you through very picturesque local neighborhoods.

Lovely beach is easily reached by car, S-train or bicykles. You can enjoy the clean area, nice view and of course the refreshing seawater. However a terrible smell coming somewhere is disturbing time to time. Still a popular place for a picnic.

We took a quick trip to the beach with my family. The 4 of us decided on this beach. We had a lovely time and the water was so clear! We come from the USA and this sand is very fine and wasn't hot to walk on. Please be careful where you park. Or a parking ticket could be in your future.

Lovely sandy beach, with lifeguards. Not very developed but toilets, grass strip and a useful beach cafe. However as we approached from the town there was a terrible sulphur based smell, far far worse than any I've experienced at any hot springs or when I worked in a tannery. It wasn't quite so bad when you were in the water & I've since found a couple of blogs that mentioned it though given other entries don't perhaps we were just unlucky. Because of this I've had to downgrade my mark, it's not acceptable in this day & age. Tip for travellers - if you have come from Copenhagen by train best to return on the Orestund trains ( every 20 minutes) as the S tog route map given to tourists is currently misleading as not all S tog trains go to central Copenhagen - the conductor had obviously come across this before & helped us change midway..along with many others

We stayed in a house just on the beach. The views were beautiful and it changed daily with the sky's colour, people playing volleyball, paddle boarding, yoga and swimming. a lovely place to visit and even better if you can stay to watch the sunset. Only a short walk to Bakken and a short train journey in to the centre of Copenhagen. Nice to have a bbq, picnic or a dip in the sea.

Klampenborg was recommended to us by locals in Copenhagen as a nice place to spend a sunny day. Its a short enough train journey from the central station and a very pleasant beach. You can see the coast of Sweden in the distance across the water.
The place was very crowded as our trip was on a particularly fine day. Plenty of eateries and bars along the seafront. So if beaches are your thing I'd recommended Klampenborg.
