Well, we have visited wineries on special winetrips in eg. France and Italy, and this is not an experience comparable with them, but very nice add-on to regular family beach holiday, especially good for rainy day! :) Well, we had relatives with us never have visited wineries, and this was very special for them, has to be said also! The... More

We were just looking for an hour stop and tour and this fit the bill perfectly. It's not far off the main highway and there was plenty of parking. We got a quick tour of the winery, then were lead upstairs to the tasting room. The lady explained our choices and then said "It's all self serve and free" and... More

The visit itself is great.. Short tour of the wine factory along with complimentary tastings of wine, olive oil, and raki. I personally didn't like any of the wines because they were very bitter.. But still a nice place to visit because they treat their guests well. It is on the way from Chania to Elafonissi or Kissamos, so not... More

Very informal, average wine. Go there and don't expect anything fancy or something like South African, french, Australian or American wineries. The bathrooms are shocking and the wine are okay. Not really to be recommended.

Fantastic wines, friendly service by Niki, I highly recommend Pnevmatikakis winery! We tasted a dozen wines, purchased 3 bottles and we generously offered a complimentary 4th. The tsikoudia here is one of threat I ever had!

Pnevmatikaki winery on the old road from Kissamos to Chania is something not to be missed. A large variety of wines from kissamos region. The family run operation is a small but very well organized winery. Try the sweet and the medium sweet wines (Dream and Spring]. Try the aged Romeiko. just to name a few. They are very friendly... We were greeted by a very friendly lady who gave us a tour of the winery. She answered our questions as if she had never been asked them before and was very informative. We were then left upstairs to enjoy some wines on our own, along with some delicious olive oil and bread. The view is stunning. A very enjoyable... More

I had passed the winery a number of times in the past, a friend was interested so we went together for a most enjoyable visit. We joined a Polish and a Dutch couple. The guide (daughter of the owner) showed us around the modern-equipped winery explaining the complete process, before sampling all their products in the museum area. We then... More

If you want to know the process of the wine production from grapes to the bottle, you might spend some time in this winery. Not to big, but contains all stages in the production of wines. The annualy capatity is 800 000 litres, which means a little more than a million bottles. The nice lady at the site explained and... More

On our way from from Chania to the beach of Elafonissi via Drapanias we saw a sign stating "Wine museum", reminded us of the Agroturismo places in Italy. The Pnevmatikaks Winery is a nice and delicious wine tasting place, a business of a family that grows grapes and olives. The gracious Stefanos gave us a tour and we tasted all... More
