Drove across the river to this area to see what it looked like and to get out of the city for a bit. There are nice beaches here and you get great views of the City from here. It was very pleasant.

Went to the Foreshore on weekend using our 1 day valid family ticket. I and husband went back and forth to the Foreshore as we really love the view and the quietness. We enjoyed watching sunset from afar and this was the best part of our honeymoon trip.

The options are endless on the foreshore. Long walks, bike rides, sit back and take in the views. Have a picnic on the lawn or a BBQ with one of the many BBQ's. Great playground equipment. Close proximity to Perth Zoo. Lots of great cafes.

A great way to spend 2 or 3 hours alongside the majestic Swan river with Perth city skyline in the background. Very nice grassed area with much shaded areas for those wanting a picnic by the river. For those with extra time on their hands, catch the ferry across the river to Elizabeth Quay, or alternatively delight your taste buds... More

The beauty of the foreshore was enhanced by a nearby park and all the lovely houses dotting the main street. The very attractive cafes and eateries looked so tempting.

A lot of the chocolate box photos of Perth are from other locations on the Swan River but this is one of those views that is commanding and peaceful and less frequently visited. If you don't live in South Perth, it is a really easy ferry ride from Barrack Street to the Mends Street jetty (where the paddle ship Decoy... More

Lovely veiws, walks and places to have a coffee. So easy to park the car there then take the ferry that runs every 15 minutes to Elizabeth Quay and the City. Definitely will be going there again.

I recommend you do this whether you are a visitor or local. Brilliant views to the city. Superb cycle paths. Great restaurants and picnic areas. You can hire sail boats and paddle boards.
