This was a great house to visit to learn about what a loyalist family did after the British lost the American Revolution. The obvious is that they moved north to Canada and started a new life. The home has details of French-Canadian and English design. The tour guides were very passionate about sharing the story of the Jones family. This... More

Homewood is a beautiful historic home. In fact, it is the oldest home in Ontario. We have visited it twice, both on lovely summer afternoons. The grounds are large, quiet, rural and pretty - a perfect place for an impromptu picnic. The inside of the house has been well-maintained and nicely tells the story of the Jones family who built...
