This is yet another site which I am amazed that you do not yet have a listing for!!!! It is a 10th c. Byzantine Monastery with the "remains" of "Holy Luke"., a great healer of the 10th c. which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and etc., etc. When you list it on your site, I will write a review of a visit here (which was astounding!!)

This working monastery is a bit of a hidden gem. It's a bit off the main road to/from Delphi, but really worth the short detour. The main attraction are two Byzantine churches, side by side, one about 1,000 years old and the other about 900...More

We had a very nice visit, about an hour and a half, at the monastery. The admission fee was four Euros per person. The church with the gold mosaics was magnificent, the gold still as sparkly as when it was first put up. There were...More

Hosios certainly knew how to pick a great location. Not only are you discovering at least 1100 years of history but also spending time in a great location. Lovely setting for a picnic and don’t forget to visit the Metomorphisus?? Church built in 1891 before...More

Beautify monastery, a little bit off the normal path back from Delphi to Athens but worth a visit. Byzantine era monastery in great shape. Very peaceful and a nice complex.

We stopped on the way back from Delphi Unbelievable mosaics in the church. A truly holy place. My daughters were wearing running shorts so they were given skirts for modesty. Well worth the stop to soak in the views

This was a very special place. The location is magnificent, the explanatory material is great, the church and crypt are beautiful. There is also an explanation about the saint and a replica of a monks cell. They sell honey and olive oil made by the...More

The Hosios Loukas Monastery is a stunningly beautiful monastic complex, clearly worth the hour or so it takes to visit it.

I find it highly ironic and inappropriate that they have a section about inequality and human rights on their website, yet they want to take away my basic human rights by asking me to cover my legs, or I don't get to enter the site.

There is a small gift shop with info about the monastery. I don't think it necessary.
