There are chains on the elephants - what makes you think this is an actual sanctuary? People should do their research before throwing money into what is essentially animal slavery.

Visited today amd spent about 45min bathing and feeding "Ploy" as they have a short visit option for 600baht (around £15). They Loan you shorts and a t- shirt, towel and shampoo for after. The elephants were free ranging, no chains, hooks ot visible scars...More

It only take up to 2 hours so you have enough time. It is a fantastic experience so make sure you do it.
