Nice Beach
Aug 2019 • Family
Spent an afternoon here during a visit to Trieste. Much better than the 'beaches' in the city, with parking nearby. Pebbly but comfortable, with clear, clean water to swim in. Plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, sun beds, paddle boards and kayaks available for hire and showers (20 cents needed). Busy, but quite easy to find a nice spot.

Go for the “self - service”
Aug 2018 • Solo
In fact, we never used so far the bagno itself as we have a hotel nearby and “just” eat resp take away food from the self service there resp had a drink. Pricing is higher than expected (eg 13,5€ for mixes antipasti) for such facility and not all dishes are available all the day (of cause). Anyway it is a great place to sit and eat with high quality food. One remark: due to the usage of one way knifes, dishes etc it is from environmental view not state of the art anymore.

Forbidden for dogs
Jun 2017 • Friends
It is forbidden to enter the beach with dogs ...
The beach is crowded and the newer part of the beach is pretending to be high class
but fails completely;
it is disguising, dirty and crowded, too expensive, too loud and people are arrogant.
Go to Monfalcone if you are looking for a peaceful rest at the sea.

Unconventional, lovely pebble beach
Jul 2015 • Couples
I used to swim at Castelreggio as a young child, so it has a special meaning to me. Probably I learned to swim there when I was 4 years old: that means a lot. It is now a popular beach, with good and clean water (beware of the cold fresh water spings - they are really cold!!. A gresat restaurant used to make the whole thing very welcoming until a few years ago. It's now gone, and we all want it back.

the best beach
Jul 2015 • Friends
I am not sure what does it mean "Bagno Castle Reggio" because the location indicator on main route is marked like "Sistiana Mare" ... i didn't see Bagno Castle Reggio nowhere, this name can be confusing i suggest thet you should to look for "sistiana beach" on the net or if you will ask to Locals
... anyway it is very very nice place, in the cove are 3 beaches, two of them are with beds(for rent), bars, restaurants, one is public place next to the harbor without anything just the beach... all of them are with small stones so is not bad have a beach shoes but you can to be there without them...
Very close from the beaches is small town named "porto piccolo" is very nice place which you have to see if you will be there... I Think that this locality is the best choice in around "Trieste" for a swiming
