It's good to walk in the footsteps of Claude Monet and look at the extensive collection of water lilies. It's a gentle and peaceful setting with lots to see and there's a lovely outdoor area where you can relax for a simple meal.

In the summer this is an interesting garden to visit. Monet probably never came here, but this is where he got his water lilies from. They have a vast array of every kind and when they are in flower they make a splendid sight. As...More

So first you eat a wonderful lunch on the terrace looking over the pond, nice chicken in a creamy sauce and good duck. Take your time to stroll around the gardens and admire the work it took to start this up 150 years ago.

Recommended by our Airbnb, host we went on a damp May day. The waterlilies are beautiful, the story fascinating , the grounds expansive and sheltering (from the rain) and the coffee good. Well worth a couple of hours.

We visited these gardens today and were rather disappointed by the experience. It is basically a garden for propagating water lilies. There were only a handful of folk there although it was a sunny day. If you like concrete rectangular ponds and listening to a...More

A peaceful setting with many concrete ponds full of rather beautiful lilies, even at this time of year, but grossly over-priced at €7 per person to enter grounds. The restaurant was completely booked with reservations on a weekday at lunchtime, so we were limited to...More

We visited the Latour-Marliac waterlily gardens for the first time today, and it was really brilliant. The range of water plants was magnificent - especially the lotus plants - and the lilies were wonderful. Best of all, the lunch was first class. Being a vegetarian...More
