Always terrible
Nov 2020 • Family
This place is trash. Way over priced. Went for a swim after dinner for a bit of a change. 3 small kids and and adult $19.60. The slide never works, the waves are never on and the cafe is rarely open. The sauna is tiny and always unclean, the steam room rarely works, the spa is absolutely disgusting. Needs a full renovation and/or a price correction. Either Lower the prices to get more patrons in to cover maintenance and staffing or close the facility and renovate to justify the prices.

Loads of pools, lots of fun. One of my four year old boy's favourite things to do on a weekend. It's a bit tired, but they have been renovating in stages for the last year or so and it looks better every time we go.

The gym is big, well equipped, and good value (especially if you are a City of Bayswater rate payer).

Excellent.

Popular pool
Jan 2019 • Family
Very busy pool. We went in school holidays and it was packed. A few lanes were closed for aqua classes and lane swimming or walking. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much for toddlers. The bigger kids loved the waves and the slides.
Recommend you phone to see what other activities are on as this pool is often used by school groups. Not the place for a quiet swim every time.

Waste of Money

We were visiting in Perth and decided to take a break from the tiny hotel pool and go to what looked liked an exciting water playground. Got here to find almost the entire facility sectioned off for various swimming lessons, diving lessons and lap lanes. There was only a tiny section of pool - about knee deep available for use. Water slide not one, wave pool not on, fountains not on, river not on - but we were still charged full fee to get in. When my son asked if he could use one of the inflatable rings we were told we'd have to hire them. Not likely!

Mixed Review

My kids LOVED the wave pool. No question. But the state of the cafe was appalling & staff friendliness left great room for improvement. There's a good choice of pools & the wave machine & water slide are great. The cafe floor & EVERY table were littered with huge amounts of chips, serviettes and empty cups. It was filthy for the duration of our stay, (over 2 hours) and since hardly anyone else was there, I could not understand why staff did not clean it since they were not busy serving customers,. The lifeguards were frowning, unfriendly & did not seem to know answers to any of our questions. A locker swallowed my cash & did not work but staff said they were unable to refund me. All that aside, my kids had a ball and on our second visit we rented inflatables for the wave machine which they loved even more. Yes, we went back as they loved it so much :-) I just avoided the cafe this time :-)

Indoor Pool water is too cold.
Sep 2017 • Family
Indoor pool should be warmer so young children feel comfortable and not feel cold.
Unacceptable pool temperature.

Warm water, good gym and a range of pools
Jun 2017 • Family
Baysater waves has a range of pools from the feature wave pool - which creates swell like waves every hour during the day on weekends, to dedicated lapping pools and a hot remedial pool. All their indoor pools are heated - I really like the lapping / walking pool which is set to 32C. There is also a large Gym and aseveral rooms for exercise classes. I am a regular visitor to the pool and gym, chosing to drive the extra distance for the qlaity of the facilities. They normally also have a 50m outdoor pool and a deep diving pool, but these have just been closed until early November 2017 for some major renovations.

We had a good Visit, worth a visit for us.
Apr 2017 • Family
We were visiting family in Perth and came here on someone's recommendation. Thought the staff was friendly although the life guards look bored and spoke to the kids as if they were tired of their job. The slide was slow and boring. The slide was monitored so there was no fear of kids running into each other on the slide or bumping into each other at the bottom of it. The slid was too slow anyway, seems like the Grad of it wasn't high enough to get any sort of thrill from it.
The café staff were friendly and prices reasonable.
Thought the prices for the Tubes to hire was expensive so we didn't hire one. You could bring your own or a noodle.
You are given a warning when the big waves are about to begin. I found these waves incredibly strong. I made sure I walked over to the big pool to watch my kids when the waves were going as they could easily struggle in the waves.. The kids seem to gravitate to the edge so they can be rocked up and down by the waves but this is where they are also the strongest. Made me a bit nervous to watch. I would of preferred them to have a floatation device when the waves were on. As the waves head towards the kiddy pool they loose their strength and are safer.
There was also a spa, Gym and Hydo pool. A young kiddies pool and toddler pool with a slide. While pool and a slow moving pool. Lessons are also available. Small shop that sells bathers and swim/gym gear etc.
We didn't go out side to the outside pools or playground but they looked clean.
Seemed to be plenty of parking. We didn't have a problem.
I thought it was worth a visit and the price was good for all the different things the kids could do there. We enjoyed it.

Not impressed

Pool need a good clean.
Especially the one for babies. Everyone come inside because it's warm there was no room for babies at one point.
The only thing that was good is the fact that there is a pool with waves.
