This remarkable "old church" building converted into the winery"s display and lunch area is worth the visit on it's own merit. The owners have done a remarkable job. Our lunch was wonderful (cheeze and meat board) when coupled with Avondale wine and Tatamagouche Brewery beer. Couldn't have had better service.

Very well set of for tasting and lunch. We had the carrot coconut soup and apple, Brie, sandwich, plus sampled three wines. Everything was delicious. Also a great assortment of jams, salts and jellies available.

Be sure to read up on the history of this winery. The tasting room and restaurant are located in an old church. If the family had not purchased, moved and restored the building would have been destroyed. Be sure to partake in their wine tasting, take a walking tour of their vineyards and eat at their restaurant. All the staff... More

Stopped in for a wine flight. All 5, 3 whites and 2 Reds were very good. The server was delightful as well as knowledgable. Lovely little winery. Nice gift shop. Very reasonably priced.

It is a new kid on the winery block but don't be fooled! This winery comes with such rich history! Not stuffy and snobby like most wineries typically are. The gentleman (Breschen?) who did the wine tastings didn't hesitate to personally take us out for a tour of the vineyard. We tasted each of the five French grapes grown here.... More

This is a unique winery, with the main building being a former church that was transported via boat from its previous location to Avondale. We have visited the winery many times and have enjoyed the wine tasting, food, and service. This time, we had a full lunch whereas before we had just soup. The food, and this was a bit... More

My husband and I stopped in on whim during our drive back from Halifax. We were not disappointed. Although we couldn't bring in our two super well behaved labs, they were able to stay outside near a picnic table while we did a tasting. The staff brought them a bowl of water and snacks. Our 11 month old son loved... More

Our family, and a guest went here for lunch recently and were all very pleased with our meals and the location. A beautiful building and interesting story (of moving the church and barn). Food was very tasty. The wines that were recommended pairing for the food were enjoyed by all except I chose a craft beer that was wonderful. Good... More
