The mall is not worth visiting. Unless you are looking for very cheap buys and bargains. Many of the shops sells identical products where prices varies. Take in mind many of the products are cheap imitations.
The mall is surrounded by many massage centres offering affordable foot reflexology to spa treatments. Window shop around before making an appointment with the centre of your choice.
The jewel is Sun Bread Bakery / Confectionery.
For their Kuih Lapis. With Butter.
Price ranges for original Kuih Lapis to various flavour are way much cheaper than other outlets offering the same.
For their Kuih Ambon
Taste and smell divine.
The staff are friendly and not pushy to sell their products.
Should you order more than 5 boxes of their Kuih Lapis/Ambon, they will deliver to your hotel. Depending on distance and location.
Be prepared to pay for delivery should you be staying away from Batam Centre / Nagoya Hill area. Since I stayed at Holiday Inn, didnt mind paying for the extra distance delivery.
Do order 1 day in advance. They will deliver on the date & time you want to the hotel's front desk. Delivery person will take photo of the delivery and Whatsapp you. We made arrangement for front desk to deliver to our room
Tastebud verdict
Between butter and margarine - butter tasted better.
The Kuih Lapis almost melts in your mouth and the taste lingers.
Cakes and pastries sold in the bakery / confectionery are worthy too for tea / coffee breaks.

So starting on the lower floor there are small electrical and mobile stalls as well as a well stocked supermarket. Prices are cheap, the higher up you go the prices seem to rise, the other floors contain clothing, bags and watches some replicas. There are several well stocked food courts with all manner of cuisine and toilets are available

Large mall. Very much hyped, but what we found were areas of mega spaces that should be full of shoppers.
The food court was surprisingly generous with so much free space for potential diners.
The megamart was enjoyable though.

The whole mall is full of shops selling luggages and bags. It feels like your Lucky Plaza in Singapore. They have got an indoor playground for kids, a Mahatari, some outlets stores selling ‘defective’ branded goods at a steal (mostly due to stains). Top level is all F&B (quite good selection). The reason I gave it a 2 stars is due to the conditions of the toilets - no toilet paper, squat toilets mostly, wet floors. I will skip this mall because of this. Otherwise, you can find some good bargains if you look hard enough.

Nagoya hill has matahari department store with some good discounts, many small clothing stores and lots of gadget shops downstairs and a supermarket too. Bought some phone stands, phone covers, but not that cheap as you can get these at similar or lower prices on phone apps like shopee lazada etc too. But you get to touch what you buy beforehand, so that’s the difference.

The place is run down with blackout and leaking aircon. Drank coffee at J.Co. We also ate panties pizza. Bought garlic peanuts at 45k per pack when other places are selling at 33K. A lot of shops and good paces are closed. No movie too.

TOURISTS ALERT: The DISHONEST fruit juice and drink stall at the Nagoya Hill Mall Food Street in front of A&W and KFC is a total rip off!
We ordered a can of coke and paid the stall keeper rp50,000 and only got back rp5000 which means it cost SGD4.50. My other friend ordered 2 fruit juices from the other stall keeper and it was rp50,000 for a fresh pineapple juice. The juices came and after just one sip, it tasted so diluted and awfully disgusting to drink.
When we requested for a refund, the stall keeper pretended that she don't understand what we are saying and refused to entertain us. She did not offer to make us another one either. They are conniving and really cheating tourists money by overcharging their drinks. Please be careful of the stall keepers at the food street as they can easily overcharge you. This is a disgusting practice and distasteful.

I would like to give it a higher rating if not for the smokers' paradise at Food Street & gulp, a BIG grey rat near the toilet where all the mobile phone kiosks are. My husband & daughter saw it & told me. I quickly turned to look but it had scurried away. The vendors sitting there did not looked the least alarmed. It must be a daily occurrence. Nagoya Hill Mall needs to ensure a better standard of hygiene urgently.
There was a stall set up outside the hyper mart selling doughnuts. I went to take a look. They were cheap, no doubt but they were UNCOVERED. Gasps! The mountain of doughnuts were placed open on the table just like that. My goodness. Anybody could just sneeze or flick his snot while walking past. Flies could land on the food easily. And remember the big rat that was spotted earlier? Mmm...

This mall look very old and run down, but with many good food selections that are not expensive. Directly opposite the mall, there are a whole street massage shops and you can take your time to choose. Also there's a huge supermarket and next door to supermart is a big pharmacy. On level 2, there are many small stalls selling the popular local Kueh Lapis too.

Hi there,
Are any buffet restaurants in the shopping malls? As it will be my first time at Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall.
Written 24 December 2018
I dont see it though. But the buffet I see is mostly like the nasi padang restaurant where you can make a lot of choices of the dishes.
