At The Margaret River Chocolate Company we're mad about chocolate! With factories in both the Margaret River and Swan Valley wine regions of Western Australia and a concept store in Perth City, we have been making award-winning chocolate products since 1999.

All three sites provide a fascinating insight into the world of chocolate, with free chocolate tastings and interactive displays, with the two factories also providing viewing windows to watch the chocolate products being made.

The Margaret River Chocolate Company makes and sells a mouth-watering range of chocolate bars, chocolate coated delights, hand made truffles, novelty chocolates, chocolate sauces and much more.

Both chocolate factories are open from 9am-5pm every day of the year except Christmas Day, while trading hours at the Perth City store mirror those of other city-based retailers.

Chocolate in the middle of wilderness!

From the moment you walk into the premises you are hit with the sweetness and shelves stacked with different flavours of chocolate as far as the eyes can see. There are large bowls of sample chocolates for you to try and a cafe where you can order food and chocolate fondues to continue your chocolate addiction. They also stock a... More

We felt like we are in a chocolate party. There are so many chocolates in the shop!!! There are free chocolates for you to try and they really taste great. Really can't believe we found chocolate soap there as we thought chocolate is only made for food. Kids were so happy with the free chocolate and they can't stop eating.... More

Fantastic range of chocolate. Plus delicious jams, chutneys and local honey. The cafe had a brilliant range. The chocolate mousse was to die for. The observation area was insightful. It was wonderful to see families enjoying the green lawns. Children doing cart wheels, giggling and laughing. This was observed from quiet interior seating.

It has beautiful sceneries on the way there and back. It was easy enough to find. Upon entry, it didn't feel like willywonka's, more like a grown up version of it. They have other chocolate products such as soap, candles and clothing souvenirs. There is a cafe and an ice cream corner. You can also watch how they make the... More

Easy to find, plenty of parking. Very clean and staff friendly and encourage you to try. Biggest bowls of sample chocolates to try. Stayed for lunch out side under a delightful pergola was not disappointed with service or food. Wish I had bought more.

A giant chocolate shop with free samples and many unique items. The coffee is very good and the selection of muffins, cakes etc. looked good. There is a viewing window where we were able to watch the making of Easter eggs. If you don't have kids don't go on school holidays.

There is a large range of chocolate to buy, which is delicious. However we got food in the cafe and it was pretty average, and the service was very slow. There were also screaming kids everywhere.

Brought the kids here to show them how chocolate was made. Unfortunately, this place is just like a big shop with overpriced chocolate. Soooo disappointed. 😔
