High on my 'to do' list while in Jerez was a trip to a bodega, and the Tio Pepe lived up to all my expectations, with the Sherry and Tapas tour my friend and I opted for. There is so much to see, do and learn there starting with the history of the place. We came away not just satisfied but very happy. The best part is that it is right inside Jerez and we just walked to the property. We were taken to the main buildings in a 'train', driven through the wonderful grounds of the huge area owned by the bodega, and this is where the sherry tour began. So well worth the time and money spent.

Is it worth the 21.50 euros? maybe not. I was expecting a nice little winery with the grapes and the vines and the old barrels in the middle of sunflower farms... My fault that I booked the only thing available on a Sunday because the...More

Sorry, I can't answer that great accuracy as I drove up from Cadiz but looking at a street map of Jerez from the RENFE train station to the Tio Pepe bodegas you have close to a two mile walk which for some is not a big walk... More

I would also advise walking as everything is close and the terrain fairly flat.

The tour includes only an excursion in the old cellars. The vineyards are located some 20 km away from the town.
