We totally lost track of time in this amazing museum. You will learn a lot about this region, its origins and evolvement into the city it is today. They also provide electronic devices that will translate into several different languages to understand the exhibits!

Lovely building. Some great artefacts. Some recorded videos in different languages very helpful as all displays were in Spanish. Free to enter on 1st Sunday of the month or just €5 otherwise.

We doubt that Spanish speaking person could fault this museum of what can often turn out to be 'less than fascinating' collections of rocks and bones. Museo Arqueologico de Jerez has its fair share of rocks and bones, but a lot more besides. In particular the development over the past 200 years of the Jerez that is all around us... More

Modern facility with a broad range of artefacts. Make sure you take an audio guide with you if you don't speak Spanish...they are included in the entry fee (5 euros). I was a little disappointed that the signage was not in English as well but overall enjoyed a few hours here.

A modern well displayed museum that has many interesting artefacts from prehistoric to recent times. There are three short videos that explain the main periods and these are available in English. The labels are in spanish but a free audio guide in English is available. The exhibits are very well displayed and although there is nothing outstanding compared to, say... More

We enjoyed this museum rather a lot when we visited it. It took a bit of time to find it, but it's located in a lovely little square and if you walk by a certain route, you can also catch sight of the remains of the city walls - also worth a look. The staff were very helpful and an... More

The museum is in an extended palace on a public square. It is very well laid out and has many interesting artefacts from the long history of Jerez and the surrounding area.

I should have spent even longer than the full morning I set aside for this wonderful museum. It deserves to be crowded out. Steps you through prehistory, Roman and through to modern times. First class information well laid out and audio visuals

A great museum, well organized, pleasant, great information. First thing to do in Xerez as everywhere else the historical background is full of lies and omissions. Pity its a bit out of reach. The labirinth to get there is part of the charm, though. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. I needed about an hour inside, but you could... More

A very modern museum with English language tours that are well worth the 5 euros entrance fee. All laid out in logical time zones. Not very large so only takes an hour or so.
