The history of the Diez Merito Wine Cellar began two hundred years ago .This house preserves one of the most emblematic Bodegas in Jerez: Bertemati Bodega. This majestic building, dating from 1730 is located in the centre of the city.During the visit to the wine cellar, you can enjoy entering its patios, gardens and areas and tasting five of its faboulous wines.

This is a premier Sherry winery. We had an excellent tour, superb lunch and some excellent Sherry tastings. Lucky us, we each got a bottle of Sherry on the way out. Great deal!

This visit also included a Cadiz day trip for us. Very interesting history of this business and of making Sherry in general. This stop was like a happy hour for us...got here around 1:30PM had the tour and tastings, then tapas.
