This place is a must for all visitors to Merida. Beautifully preserved and full of interesting angles for the amature photographer. A good spot for families as the kids will also find it interesting and have space to play around.

Not as crowded as ruins in Italy - you can really imagine the townspeople using this facility centuries ago. Try to have a guide.

This can be visited in combination with the Roman theatre. A very sizable place with a few explanations. A bit more background info could be expected for the expensive entry fee.

We visited the amphitheatre as part of the combined ticket. Not as spectacular as the Teatro but still worth a view.

As with the Roman theatre, thoroughly enjoyable. Excellent signage in English & so.many photo opps. Very few fellow visitors & no school groups. Such a relief. No visible changes from when last visited.

This and the Theatre were the reason we visited Merida and we were certainly not disappointed. Not crowded and easy to go from this to the Theatre. We were even able to claim a 50% reduction for being EU pensionistas, need to make the most...More

An amazing sight, huge amphitheatre ... absolutely breathtaking. If you go to Merida, you do not want to miss this! If you see nothing else, visit this!
