Not much remains but there is enough to give a view of the size and splendour of the arch when it was built. Also helps to imagine the size and scale of Merida as a Roman city. There is one information board to help explain...More

With Roman ruins popping up all over town for some reason we thought this would be more spectacular. Probably not worth seeking out on a hot day but certainly worth finding on an evening stroll...there is also a bar with a view!

A trip to Merida is like a trip to another world. You stumble upon Roman ruins every time you turn a corner, just standing there in the middle of the city. So glad we went to this gem!

well, it is a nice, big arch, but while it was once an entrace to a big temple, it stands now kind of in the middle of nowhere. walk by, give it a look, but you will not spend much time here.

This is certainly worth a look and to the right is a nice restaurant to grab a bite or a drink with the same name.

This is what remains of a Roman arch and can be found in the street with a brief info panel. You can see it on a stroll through the City and will need only a few minutes to see all this has to offer.
