From a purely historical and geographical perspective the tour of the caves was both interesting and fascinating. The tour guides are well versed but depending on the make-up of the group you may find yourself with the tour in Dutch - however visitors are given...More

Sorry for the pun, but this place was really awesome!! Besides the amazing cave drawings and the interesting history behind the whole cave, the tour guides were amazing! Just beware because the cave is always 12°C (even during summer). From my experience, THEY DO have...More

We went to Valkenburg and visited both the Gemeentegrot and the Fluwelengrot. The Fluwelengrot is nice, but has a different history, since it is related to the history of the castle, which goes back to the test 1000. Interesting walk, but guide only in Dutch....More

We visited the castle ruins and the cave on the same day. I’d advise to buy a ticket for both these locations at once. This saves you some money and it is really worth it when visiting Valkenburg. The castle ruins are fun, but as...More

We have just visited the Fluweelengrot cave night tour. The ticket was €9.50/person. We have received 3pages of history in English for the tour to read during the visit. The tour was scheduled for 8pm but ran about 10minutes behind. We were about 30-35people in...More

Worth it, nice tour with guide for about 50 minutes. The stories they tell are really interesting. The ruins afterwards are great as well so worth the money (€12 for both)

The admission ticket was around € 8 if I am not mistaken to see what remains from a castle. The velvet cafe it self was nice and since it located about 2 levels up from ground, we can get an overall city view while enjoying...More

I have been to both, and while both are excellent, Cologne has more appeal I think because it is held next to the cathedral. I also don't recall having Glu Wine at the Dutch Market. I have not used either coach line.
