These sculptures are amazing; they are so life like and a lot of time and effort must have gone into sculpting them. Well worth a visit combined with a cable car ride.

There are tours underground with silent trains every hour from 11 am and these take you deep underground. There are loads of paintings and carvings and really worth visit. Pity the guide only gives information in Dutch but even so the cost of under 8...More

During our weekend stay in Valkenburg, we booked tickets for Christmas in Mergelrijk. It was rather a climb to reach but we enjoyed in all fullness. We liked the workshop building somthing from stone as well

we went to here during christmas market. I think it's better for children. Funny sculptures, good to see, but 7 eur worth? I'm not sure.
