The Laguna Golf Course has earned a reputation as being a somewhat unique offering within the Vilamoura golf portfolio. While its many water hazards and few trees set it apart, it truly finds its individuality in the number of holes which convey characteristics of a traditional links layout. American golf course architect Joseph Lee was given the responsibility for setting out the Laguna Course over low-lying coastal terrain, and in this setting was able to establish 18 holes which offer a wide variety of playing conditions.

No.Holes: 18 | PAR: 72 | Length: 6121 m | Slope Rating: 129 | Architect: Joseph Lee | Location: Vilamoura, Algarve

The Facilities: Clubhouse | Golf Shop | Driving Range | Putting Green | Bar/Restaurant | Buggy Bar | Valet Service | Free WiFi

Fantastic golf course and a good challenge for all levels of golfer. Greens fast and receptive, wide fairways and plenty of interesting water hazards. Only downside was having to wait for two four-balls to tee off when we reached the 10th but didn't take too long. Will definitely be coming here again.

Course was challenging, if a little samey. Mainly had to battle reed beds and lakes. Not a lot of tree cover. Food was bad. Pizza was bland and lacked sauce/flavour, burgers were frozen and greasy, club sandwiches came in burger rolls. Chips were oddly hollowed out and very tiny portions.

Played in a ladies 4ball on our first golf holiday. More challenging than Millenium. Need to ignore groups of male golfers that play slowly & comment on your technique. Course Rangers were excellent in speeding them up & looking after us

We were a couple playing off 13 and 16 through no fault of our own our transfer was late and we arrived at the course more than 15 mins late. We were told we had missed our slot and had to start at the 2nd. A very kind Warden took us with our trolleys to join our partners on the... More

Have played four of the five Oceanico courses this week (final one - Old Course - last day). Course was very good and plenty of challenging water based holes. The welcome and Starter weren't as good as Millenium, Victoria and Pinhals in explaining the course, distance markers etc. OK for as it was our fourth course, but it could have... More

Played this course as the 3rd of 5 as a group of 12. Reasonably attractive course in good, not perfect, condition. Staff were polite and efficient rather than friendly and the course played well even in the gusting windy conditions. It may be that there was a lot of water but it paled into insignificance after playing the Victoria Course.... More

Having read some reviews on trip advisor that were less than complimentary. I was not expecting a course in great condition. However, my nephew managed to get a special deal with the Angsana Hotel including golf and massage and as I was staying there for 3 days on our multi-centred trip and the course only a couple of hundred yards... Having booked our trip to Vilamoura and been looking forward to some great golf, we arrived on Monday 20th March ,checked in to our hotel and straight away booked the transfer to the course. We had a Tee time 1306 , unfortunately beyond our control it was late arriving so we got to the Laguna clubhouse at our Tee time... More

Course had been rained on all night before but stood up well. A well designed layout with variety of obstacles - bunkers, water & trees. Good test and nice facilities even though they charge you for everything including range balls

If you're like me who hits the ball miles but never straight then take a snorkel, diving gear and bucket & spade because there's a lot of water and sand. For my game this course is a no-no and waste of time and money.
