If you come to Bali this temple should be on your list. The temple is very beautiful, but also very crowded. We had to wait to take pictures everywhere in the temple. I believe this was the only temple we visited that had no monkeys. Call to check the tide before going if you wish to cross to the temple.... More

We visited Tanah Lot on three evenings during our stay at the nearby Pan Pacific Nirwana Resort in order to look at the acclaimed sunset. Unfortunately the week we visited this area was rainy and overcast at dusk each time so we were not successful in our objective. Access from the nearby hotel is good. It is a short walk... More

Can hardly believe this is the first time I've ventured to Tanah Lot. It is definitely worth the visit, 60k each to get in and we went up to one of the many restaurant's overlooking the temple. All provide a good vantage point for pictures but I like the less crowded versions. Recommend you grab some coconut balls from the... More

Got to say if you are in Bali Tanah Lot temple - you must visit, temple wasn't the main feature in my opinion, the sunset and sea waves made it one of the beautiful sites you'll see. Loads of mini market stalls and food. FYI free toilet inside the market.

It costs 60,000 rupiah, about £3.50, plus 5,000 rupiah for parking. There is a fixed route which takes you past dozens of stalls and shops, selling mainly the same items - tat! There are also some upmarket jewellery and Ralph Lauren outlets, as well as eateries. Eventually, you get to the temple. The setting is breathtaking, although you cannot get... More

This was the first temple I stopped at during my 10 day adventure around Bali, and it didn't disappoint! Despite there being quite a crowd around, the location was beautiful, and the surroundings were just as enjoyable to explore. You can cross the water during low tide for a closer look, but even from afar it's quite a magic sight.

This place was magical, a little crowed in some areas, but you can take a great picture at any point. The winding walk brings you to every vantage point of a spectacular sight if the temple. There is a resident snake that's called John is is magnificent and you can have your picture taken with him, he is so friendly.... More

Should visit during low tide time so that you can cross the sea to visit the temple. A bit disappointed as I only able to view the temple from far. Crowded with tourists.

As suggested by other reviewers, we visited this temple before sunset! This temple was beautifully situated with water on all sides. And the most amazing was, the priests give holy water emanating from the temple which is sweet water whereas ocean water that surrounds the temple is all salty! You can go local shopping after visiting the temple.
