Churches can be great places to sit and reflect. St. Plus X in Moville is one such place. Surprisingly large for such a small town as Moville, inside it has a most peaceful, reflective atmosphere. Unlike a lot of churches, it was also warm and...More

I tend to always go where the locals go and they certainly come here in their droves! I attended Sunday mass here as I was away from my own chapel. Lovely service and very personal which is always nice! Everyone was really friendly and welcoming!

I have a mobile home in Greencastle very close to Moville and here is where we would have attended mass. During service times the building is filled with people. The building is very accessible.

Worth a visit but nothing spectacular. A very rectangular building with a very plain interior. watch for the 'breakneck' steps to enter and exit the building. Much nicer church 2 mile out the greencastle road called Ballybrack Chapel.

Built by the Moville builder and furniture contractor John McGuinness in 1956-58 (and blessed on 26 October 1958). Fanad granite was used for the lovely altar while the facade was constructed also from Fanad Granite and Prehen Limestone. The building's exterior is a little austere,...More
