Someone has removed the fun !!
Mar 2020
Used to be the best. Better than best.
My last visit, it sunk to a 4.5 out of 5
this time, no humor, no fun, was given a tambourine then had it taken off me
point????

Fun night out
Dec 2019 • Friends
So we're back in the Canaries and the first bar we always head to is "Centre Stage"!

So much fun, a bit overcrowded but that's down to its popularity.

Seems they have new videos this season. YMCA and Rocky Horror are always popular sing-a-longs, especially with the tambourines, provided.

The fact that this bar has been operating for so many years is a clear reflection of its popularity.

We're in Canaries for another 10 days, so that's probably 10 more visits to this place.

Great fun for all ages.

Camp As F**k
Oct 2019 • Couples
Been to The Yumbo on numerous occasions but never really ventured above ground level apart from going to the 'men only' bars but my partner took me to Centre Stage and what a great laugh! Sit at the bar (if you can get a seat!) Grab a tambourine and sing a long to the video's showing on the screen above the bar, sound of music etc. Extremely 'camp' but hilarious and fabulous atmosphere. Would probably get tedious if you visited more than twice as its quite repetitive.

This is one of my favourite bars. Fantastic vibe and great staff and customers. It’s always fun and you can go there and be sure that you’ll have made some new friends by the end of the night. Five stars!

I love it here. Show tunes, musical props, an ok crowd
it just does seem to be running at 90% full steam instead of the 100% that I remember it though
Its great fun. it can get messy.

A world-wide historic institution
Sep 2019
I have been going to Centre Stage for 25 years, and to me it feels like a historic link between gay life in the 1950s and 1960s and today. I love going there, and think it should be a world heritage site. Truly I have laughed and cried there: its musical-based fun highlights the continuing struggle for equality. You may not like it, but every gay man should visit to see how the fight for equality was founded, and how, as Newton said, we are alll standing on the shoulders of giants.

Fun and a great atmosphere
May 2019 • Couples
When in the Yumbo I head there most nights, this trip was my 9th in the last year or so,
I’m quite shocked to see negative reports re the staff and the atmosphere
We are all different and take to people differently but I’ve found the staff great with lots of banter!
As for the atmosphere, I find it fantastic, Most likely as the bar is small and it encourages everyone to talk and chat and I often have great banter across the bar!
I would definitely say it’s worth a visit!
