A fabulous day out, but take water and snacks. Lots of hills to climb! The most enjoyable part and where the money really goes are the shows. They are very good, very informative and a good length of time. Some of the shows offer shade but not all- so take a hat or something for shade. The journey there is... More

Palmitos Park is much more than the old Zoo, is a beautiful place where you'll find a lot of animals at the same time you are walking with trees and plants all the time, you can enjoy several shows of big birds like Eagles, and many more. It's recomendad to visit always but if you have children quite more, they... More

Good selection of animals and birds. Large number of parrots and birds of prey in particular. High points are dolphin show and the bird displays which are excellent. Nice environment with walking through the hillsides. Butterfly house and aquarium are also good. Bus ride or taxi (10-15mins) from Playa des Ingles or Maspalomas. Not the cheapest day out, but look... More

Our son likes visiting wildlife/animal parks, so our trip to Gran Canaria had to include Palmitos Park! As usual we went with some trepidation about treatment and standards of the park, but didn’t need to worry. The whole park was absolutely spotless, including the animal enclosures. I have never been to such a clean animal park before. The park is... More

If you can visit the park it's a lovely day out good for an ages lots of walking up hill though so sensible shoes required. Watch the dolphin show was amazing and seeing the birds of prey well worth a visit. Also go see the butterflies very therapeutic. Definitely will go again.

Palmitos Park is a pleasant enough way to spend a few hours of your holiday in Gran Canaria. You need to either take a bus, taxi or car if you are going as it is certainly not within walking distance. If you take the car then part of the road is the usual Gran Canaria 1 lane wonder but is... More

The layout of the park made it easy to alternate between visiting the enclosures and enjoying the shows. There's plenty to see, with everything from dolphins to exotic birds. The shows are entertaining and it's clear the handlers / trainers are very passionate about what they do. The birds of prey show perhaps edged it for me. The restaurant serves... More
