Relaxing way to spend a few hours
Aug 2020 • Couples
Even though this is a, relatively, small garden there are plenty of exotic trees, plants and cacti to see. Apparently the rules are that if fruit has fallen then you can take it but they don't like you pulling from the plants themselves(makes sense) Unfortunately the bananas weren't ripe but we had some kei fruit and raw sugar cane. Is free to enter, there's shade if you need it but no toilets are open.

slam of plants

the place is horrible for nature lovers - one would spontaneously take all the plants away to rescue them. seemingly nobody takes care of the poor park for ages.

Thoughtfully maintained

Lovely array of cacti, trees, flowers and plants. Labelled well and really well looked after. A calm area to sit. You could spend 30 minutes or an hour here.

About as exciting as a slice of bread

I wouldn’t bother.

Small and uninteresting.

Much better botanic gardens available on the north or the island at Jardín Botánico Canario Viera y Clavijo.

Exotic plants in a worn park
Oct 2019 • Family
Nice, pretty garden, but poorly looked after. Dry and worn place. Looks like it has been a great place in the past. Entrance is free, witch is nice.

Great Time Out Destination
Oct 2019
We visited these beautiful gardens as a change of scenery. Whilst not the most lush gardens you could visit it reflected the conditions found in the Canary Islands. The staff were welcoming and offered lots of information regarding the garden layout and types of plants there. This was a great place to relax with nature and unwind as we walked around. If you are in the area it’s definitely worth putting a couple of hours aside for a visit.

Was disappointed

This is exceptionally small. We walked round it in 15 minutes and then left. Confess I’m not a big ‘botanicals’ person but I generally enjoy a stroll through some nice gardens. The paths are made from gravel and we struggled pushing the pram through it; eventually just carried our little one around.

If you have 30mins to kill then it’s fine, just don’t expect to pass a morning here!!

A calm and quiet place to enjoy half an hour
Aug 2019 • Couples
From previous reviews, it appears a lot of work has gone into improving the gardens. When we visited there was a team of gardeners hard at work clearing and cleaning.
There are a large selection of cacti and palms, along with other trees planted along meandering pathways.
There is a small shaded seating area overhanging with fragrant blooms which is very enjoyable.
The trees were very interesting as many had unusual fruits and/or seeds. There were many we took photographs of to show family upon our return.
If you are quiet and still you can also see many different birds. There were many very noisy, but beautiful green parots, which were difficult to see in the green canopy.
It is not far to walk there and free to enter. If you get a chance to visit I would recommend it. It looks like further improvements are also planned.
