We had two trips to the beach (and I am not a beach person!) Lovely sand and clear warm water. The sea depth is suitable for both Adults and Children with safe bathing. Hire a sunlounger and brolly then relax. There are two beachside cafe/restuarants...More

This is a beach for families with small children as the water is very shallow. It is sheltered depending on the wind. The road is going right by it. There are actually to sandy beaches with rocks between them.

Malta is not well known for having sandy beaches, mainly rocky, but this is the exception. Very busy in the summer but well worth a visit. Kids will love it

Disappointed - might be November but Mellieha is deserted. Many restaurants closed, lots of road works, lots of building repairs, so wouldn’t really recommend it.

Best beach in Malta, however can be rocky in places. Couple of good beach snack bars. You can walk halfway round the bay on a promenade but a bit off off track walking takes you right around e far bay.

Although this is a small beach, it has everything needed to make your trip enjoyable, from sand, sun loungers, toilets, open showers, restaurant and much more and as its in a bay the water is nice and calm.

The weather was good and we could walk by the sea. Fanatstic, romantic. When the sun is shinning everything looks amazing, the sea, the sky. So much romance.

A nice beach in the north part of the island. It is very popular from May to October. It is very accessable both by car or public transport. There are hotels and apartments for accomodation in the area.

Longest stretch of beach on the island, this area is perfect for walkers, quieter and more relaxed than others places with the old town looking down on you.

A place of contrasts, from epic battles to stories of arduous struggle for freedom. Malta is a paradisiac archipelago bathed by the central Mediterranean sea, which mixes excitement and adventure, exuberance and tranquility. I suggest you arrive by ship. When we arrived at the port...More

Getting around is easy, bus service is probably the best I've used, 2 euro fares and you can travel to Valletta. Hotel is also close to the ferry to Gozo.
