A Beautiful Afternoon To My Day Trip
Dec 2020
As a final curtain in my day trip, made sure I’d stop by a beach in the afternoon so I could relax and enjoy the sun and water. This beach was one I specifically checked on this website to determine which beach may be the best to enjoy. It did not disappoint!

Free entry and since I was there in December, it wasn’t too hot, but still fully enjoyable. The beach is located just before all these bungalows set right near the shore and they were quite cool and I imagine, quite nice to stay in of you want to be right on the beachfront!

Anyways, you can actually go out quite far and the water doesn’t get deep. Not a lot of people there, and it was the perfect place to just relax, enjoy, and burn off a nice afternoon after what was already a beautiful day trip to different sites around the island!

Scenic beach on Samui's east coast
Dec 2020
Picturesque area with clear waters and fine sands. The waters are absolutely gorgeous in colors, especially on clear sunny days. Both beautiful place to go for photos and for chillaxing.

Picture Perfect Beach
Mar 2020 • Friends
Discovered only by few, Silver Beach has become beach lovers, sunbathers and divers paradise. Koh Samui never fails to impress all its guests with another beach nestled in peace and privacy. The picture perfect beach has got what it takes to make it a good beach: glittering water, gold hued sand, shallow water coral reefs, big tree shades, beachfront restaurants with no hawkers to disturb you.

Simple Resort On A Stunning Beach
Feb 2020 • Solo
I came to Thong Takian to kill two days on a beach before I started a photo assignment on the island. All I wanted was a simple, clean room with a comfortable bed and a nice beach to decompress on after a long flight from London. Thong Takian nailed it. The staff are super friendly, the beach is wonderful and the little beachside restaurant was perfect. The coffee is amazing, even by my well traveled and snobby standards. Oh, the Thai food is good too. One thing I wouldn’t recommend is the sausages for breakfast. It’s one of those countries that just doesn’t do sausages or bacon properly.

I would definitely come back here. Hopefully with more time and a stunning woman.

Crowded and full of seaweed
Feb 2020 • Couples
Went this afternoon. Very crowded and no possibility of snorkelling, the visibility was awful. Sea was full of huge patches of seaweed. Nice soft sand though. We gave up and walked to somewhere near Le Meridien. Beach was lovely.

Nice but crowded
Jan 2020 • Family
This beach is best appreciated before noon. It's relatively quiet then. Compared to Maenam or Lamai the water is gentle and clear and the sand is soft (though there is a strip of dead coral and gravel at the edge of the water). Our two year old absolutely loved playing here. The drawback is that it does get crowded quickly. And if you're really unlucky you'll have to share the beach with ignorant people blasting loud music and generally being a nuisance. On the other hand it's great for people watching.

Rocky beach
Jan 2020 • Family
I was quite disappointed with the whole “Maldives of Thailand” beach - the sand is white and soft but going into the water is very painful and difficult. It also goes very deep very fast so not suitable for children. There was a slight breeze every day, which we quite enjoyed. And the color of the water is beautiful. But all in all it’s a very crowded beach.

Nice but extremely crowded
Dec 2019 • Family
We selected Silver Beach because we read how beautiful and unknown it was. Beautiful it really is but it is unimaginable crowded. Literary thousands of people all around. The waves were big so people were even tightened to the more distanced parts of the beach because their things would have been completely wet otherwise.
Everything but calm and secluded what we expected. The day before we went to Choeng Mon Beach on the north-east of Ko Samui and it was so much better. Silver Beach - not my cup of tea at all!

Not as secluded as described
Dec 2019 • Couples
The beach is small and referenced as a public beach. The problem is you have to walk through a resort to get to the beach. No one stopped us or said that we had to buy anything to access the beach but it is not open to the road as one would think being a public beach. Word has gotten out that the beach is nice and it is but very quickly became crowded. There are massage booths right there on the beach which is a nice touch. The sand is softer and nicer than some of the other beaches near by. There are rock formations very close to shore that can be climbed on and snorkeling around can be fun. We did see a few fish here and there which was also surprising that close to the beach. Not a bad beach at all, would suggest going early in the day before lunch to make sure you can get a spot on the beach and in the shade.
