Fanning Springs State Park has good parking and all the facilities, the rangers take good care at the park. You will see lots of birds, and an equal amount of wildlife. The weather is beautiful and all the trees and foliage are in full color.

We went here to try to see Manatee's. The spring was beautiful! Guess we were a little late to see manatees. They were out to sea. Nice walk. HOWEVER, was unjust that you pay $6.00 for the state park. for a day visit only. Guess...More

We stopped to cool our feet on a bike ride on the Nature Coast Trail. Although it was Feb., people were swimming and having a great time. I imagine the park is quite crowded when the temps increase. This is a spring that flows into...More

What a great place to see Florida history. It is a great day trip to enjoy the spring. Its unfortunate that we can not stop the destruction from all the people coming to Florida. The natural springs need to be protected and having hundreds of...More

The cabins are very nice, clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything..screen porch, rocking chairs, fire pit, grill. Disconnect from technology and enjoy each other. There is a beautiful cypress hammock with a boardwalk near the spring.

Beautiful, clean, staff is so nice and the cabin was amazing! Saw more wildlife there than other places I have been in Florida. Yes it is small but that's what makes it quaint and quiet! I can't wait to go back!

If your looking for a large park, don't visit, it's small. It does have a lot to offer for a small park, they have a new manager and he is doing great things to improve the park. There are 5 very nice cabins with everything...More

The water stays a constant 72 year round, so that depends on you. We went to Silver Glen Springs yesterday and snorkled - no wet suits. We were good until we got out.

Can we see manatees in the wild at Fanning Springs this time of year? (Dec 2015) Thanks!

Manatees can usually be seen between late November to mid-March, depending upon the water temps at the time. The colder the outlying waters to more apt the manatees will come into the 70 degree waters of the springs.
