This kayaking experience was amazing! If you are vacationing out east and are looking for some beautiful scenery, you won't be disappointed. We did this trip with two adults and two kids, aged twelve and fourteen. Our twelve year old son initial insisted on having his own kayak, but later ended up in a double because he was too tired.... This was probably the highlight of our whole trip out east, it was amazing. We did the half day tour, our instructor was Jaime and she was great, knew her stuff and also encouraged us. We covered a lot of ground for a half day tour, we seen so much and got really close to seals. We took a break... More

Gayle, Scott and Paul from Coastal Adventures were excellent with us. We called out just before their season started but with the excellent weather they were as eager as us to get out on the waves. A 3hr sea kayak trip which didn't see much wildlife due to the time of year (although we saw a bald eagle hunting) but... More

I just returned from the coastal adventures 5-day sea kayaking trip in the cape breton highlands. It was an amazing trip. If you like kayaking and camping, then I highly recommend doing a Coastal Adventures trip. The scenery was stunning. I was especially struck by the gorgeous cliffs and the waterfalls falling straight from the plateau into the ocean. We... More

We drove to the place down a local road, to the waters edge. Gayle was there to greet us. She had a busy day planned with lots of new paddlers, but still made time for us. We kayaked a few hours (watch the tides) and stayed the night. Excellent breakfast, good advice and history of the area. Enjoyable spot, a... More

Summary: With the family we had a pleasant day with some nice scenery, staff were friendly but the amount of information and instruction was disappointing and price was too high for a day of paddling. Based on the very positive reviews we booked a day trip even though it was quite expensive: over $400 for a family with 2 children.... More

My husband and I had a great time during our 1 day safety course. Gayle was very knowledgable and attentive. She found the perfect kayaks for us based on our experience, and really helped my DH overcome his nervousness. Instruction included water rescue, which I think every kayaker should know. It was a perfect day, so glad we did it.... More

We came across a Coastal Adventures leaflet at Halifax Airport and fitted a day into our schedule. It was the 25th anniversary weekend which offered kyack tours and clinics. One did a tour and the other two clinics -paddle stroke improvement and rescue. We were both very satisfied. Scott, Gayle and all the helpers made us very welcome in a... More

We had the best day of our trip being introduced to sea kayaking. Very relaxed but helpful tuition making it very easy to relax and gain confidence. Felt like going out with a friend. Beautiful scenery and wild life. Wonderful out on the water seeing kingfishers and sea eagles. Would really recommend it. Not to be missed. Then finish off... More

The drive along the coastal highway is stunning. There are lots of charming communities to visit. I recommend Sheet Harbour for places to eat. Had two great meals here.
