Be aware, you must have an international driving licence. This is not stated on their conditions on their website. They kept my deposit and I did not get a scooter because of this poor information. Would be helpful if they made this clear

YOU CAME HERE WITH TWO EXPIRED DRIVING LICENSES - not even valid in your own country!!! Hello Justine! If even we met end of July 2019 I remember you very well because (so luckily!) this was a unique experience! You had reserved a big vespa for two days and I had asked you to pay a deposit of 50 euro to hold it for you during the high season. I was waiting for you in the morning and you arrived late during our normal closing time (because of a cooking course as you told me...) You arrived with two expired driving licenses (there were two other testimonials)... First you showed me the international one. As it was expired you will remember that I called the police for further informations. The police said you could go out with only the normal driving license taking the risk to get a find if they had controlled you on the road without the international one. Only after that call to the police you showed me your normal driving license which was EXPIRED, too!! You told me that YOU HAD LEFT YOUR NEW DRIVING LICENSE IN AUSTRALIA as you had just renewed it... So, I'm very sorry that I couldn't give you the vespa, but I cannot let people go out without a VALID driving license. AND YOU CAME HERE WITH TWO EXPIRED DRIVING LICENSES!!! As you are referring to my website you could have seen that you need a VALDI driving license (which means NOT EXPIRED and NOT LEFT AT HOME - in your case in Australia...) I believe that people inform themselves before traveling about which kind of license they need to drive in another country or even continent. If not they can ask me. As you can immagine I cannot mention every country worldwide and its agreements with Italy on my website! Regarding the deposit: yes, in your case I kept the 50 euro of deposit.- and, by the the way, you agreed on that with me when you left my place. I lost 130 euro on your rental which had to be cancelled in the middle of the first rental day. And this was not mine, but YOUR FAULT... With all the hours passed with you personally on that day and with the exchanging of 18 (!!) mails (16 before your arrival and 2 after) I believe that this was the minimum I could take. Other rental places would have asked you to reimburse the whole sum of 130 euro! And yes, I can say that I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED, TOO!! Greetings from Claudia (wishing you all the best and hoping that you can find some positive things to do within this difficult time for all of us)

We thoroughly enjoyed riding a Vespa ! Thanks Claudia ! The scooter, named The Sicilian Lady by Claudia was the most gentle machine I have ever ridden. She took us up mountain roads, around hair-pin bends and into tiny village centres without the merest hint of a problem. Powerful enough for two up we never met a road we couldn’t conquer. Claudia’s directions were terrific too. Her advice sent us to one of the best restaurants we visited during our time in Italy...with discount. We can’t praise the service and attention to detail enough. Danke schoen, Claudia !

We just returned a Vespa we rented for our 3 days in Umbria and the whole experience was hands down the best part of our three week stay in Italy. Claudia is an absolute gem. She is a kind and lovely person who takes true pride in providing a great experience for her customers. She provided a ride to and from the train station plus luggage transport for us which was so helpful. All her recommendations were spot on and we felt very confident exploring this gorgeous region on the Vespa. We will absolutely be sending all our friends and family to Claudia's business and hope to be back ourselves someday. Grazie mille, Claudia and Marco! Note: some previous experience driving Vespas or motorbikes is required :)

By chance I passed by here on our way from Perugia because the place near our villa that advertised scooter rentals didn't have any. Fortunately for me, because Umbria in Vespa was really perfect, and the 5 ratings are almost unanimous because it's true. Claudia was very understanding with my schedule constraints and offered various solutions that would allow me to go there and rent. She was very helpful, patiently explained to me a route around Lake Trasimeno and into some beautiful Umbrian villages in the hills. In the middle of the day she even gave me a call to check on my schedule and say she could adjust if I needed to return early because of my family. Fortunately my wife told me to take the whole day to enjoy my Vespa ride and so I did, and it was literally the best day of my week in Italy. I once read a Vespa review which said that riding a Vespa puts a smile on your face, and in this case, riding around the beautiful countryside really put a smile on my face that lasted for days after. Their units are well maintained, I used a new 125cc Primavera which was perfect. Thank you so much Claudia, I hope to return someday!
