Didn't visit the museum but went for lunch at the café after finding it after a walk a few months ago. The food here is really good - we had 2 types of home made soup and a delicious sandwich followed by lovely cake. Lots of types of tea and coffee. It is worth taking the time to come here... More

My wife, Megumi, and I visited the museum in August 2016. My 3rd visit in the past 20 years. My wife's first. I highly recommend a visit. Not only for the exhibits, the cakes and the cheerful staff but for the whole of the village of Ceres. Wherever you turn there is a perfect shot for your camera. Regards Douglas... More

We have been once before. Again the service was spot on. The cakes, well it is hard which one to choose. The cakes are large and the staff were fine about splitting one between my wife and myself. The place is light and airy with view across the burn. If you turn left out of the car park and walk... More

We greatly enjoyed this small museum with a local touch, and the staff went out of their way to help us. This is a great place with a variety of exhibits and a small book shop, with an adjacent tea room for lunch.

We came upon the tea shop attached to this little museum in Ceres, quite by accident. We have never had such wonderful and unusual cakes. The Mojito cake came with its own jug of " alcoholic" sauce and the lemon meringue tiffin was a masterpiece. But by far the best thing was the proper leaf tea served in a China... More

An exceptionally well presented Museum in what was once three weaving cottages, lots to see would highly recommend. And when you've done viewing the museum there is a super cafe serving soup, sandwiches and delightful scones etc.

The place is small however we managed to get a table. We couldn't fault the cakes or service. Its a bit on the pricey side but you have to pay for quality.

Museum is closed for the winter but took 14 of our walking group into the café (we pre-booked as it's fairly small). Excellent soup, coffee, scones and sandwiches. Very welcoming and quick service. Highly recommended by all our walkers.
