Visited with a party of school children as part of their topic work - an exciting day out with role play against the backdrop of the castle. Good fun for all.

What a super place to wander around, the castle ruins are interesting. There is loads of space to sit down on the grass and the views over the estuary are great.

Well worth a visit, easy to reach by car and bus, involves a moderate walk. Has a mountain bike trail that was built for 2012 Olympics with views across the Thames to Kent.

Yes it's all good for a pushchair. May be a little bumpy in places but generally ok.
