We came here on a Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the malecon and tiangis. The lakeshore and malecon are looking much much better these days. Today it was very busy with many people enjoying the area.

The malecon is beautiful along the lake with a small group of carnival rides and stalls. On the other side are restaurants that are pleasant with views of the lake. The malecon is excellent for taking pictures with various statues and other sites.

Pretty long boardwalk along Lake Chapala in the town of Chapala. Plenty of interesting things to see and do - from the acrobatic local pole team to cafes and bars. More of a local Mexican attraction than the expats of Ajijic.

Nice lakefront malecon with snacks and usually live music from various local musicians. It could use some updating and be a bit cleaner but overall it's a nice place to sit and look at the lake or take a walk down the malecon. Sundays are...More
