We couldn't resist stopping to snap a few photos of this famous bridge. Ok, maybe not as famous as Golden Gate... or Brooklyn Bridge... or Tower Bridge, but still. It's a cool landmark with limited parking on both sides. Windy and cold when we were...More

We managed to drive down from Carmel to see part of highway 1 and this was without doubt the highlight. Well worth the visit. When we went it was very windy and cold but that didn't deter ourselves. It's only about 30 minutes drive from...More

A must stop place on the PCH to take few pictures and enjoy the views. It was very windy. A great spot.

A breathtaking view of the Pacific below and the drive to the Big Sur, the bridge itself is an engineering wonder attracting thousands of tourists daily

It's a must see :) I'm a professional photographer, so I got pretty excited about this one (awesome composition points). It's also just nice to see by driving over too. Parking is limited (and a little scary off the side of a road) and this...More

Very beautiful and stunning. Our guide stopped us at a lovely spot before the bridge for photos and for us to experience the strong winds along Highway 1.

We loved walking around and getting pictures of the bridge. It was a beautiful sunny day when we were here in late April. Worth the drive down from Monterey!

After 17 miles drive, we continued our Journey along scenic route 1. It is gorgeous view of bridge, mountain, ocean.... We stopped twice here. (Have to drive back to Monterey in order to go to Cambria)

It's only a 45 minute drive from Monterey, it's free and it's far more breathtaking than the 17 mile drive. You have to see this view. Incredible!

The graceful architecture of the bridge is an attraction itself. The coastal view is equally amazing.

We planned a trip to CA to drive the PCH from San Francisco to LA next month. With the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge closed until potentially September, we were planning to drive inland from Carmel to San Luis Obispo. I would love to see this bridge though! My question is: how easy it is to turn around if we were to drive down from Carmel, see the bridge, and then go back north to take hwy 101? Thanks, in advance, for the help!

I would suggest asking law enforcing agency though.
