This is a rugged hike that takes off from a campground. There are several stream crossings across slippery planks - was wishing I had my hiking poles - but it was worth it to get to the falls

If you want to see 11 miles of Highway 1 from Gorda to Limekiln there is a way if you're willing! Take Nacimiento-Fergussen Road out of Bradley, California. This road takes you through Fort Hunter Liggett who did not require ID on this trip, but...More

This hike was about 10 minutes from Treebones Resort. Highway 1 is closed both north and south so we were lucky to have this gem available when we visited Big Sur. It is an easy hike, $10 to pay at the check in booth and...More

The park was in great shape, post crazy winter. Where trails have been altered do to the winter, both park staff and those using the trails have created safe crossings in order to make the trail passable by all

Nice hike that is pretty easy with a beautiful path - cool to see the actual lime kilns too! Easy parking and a great little beach area under the bridge for a picnic.

Beautiful little hike to see a wonderful waterfall. Hike was short and sweet (if we didn't stop to take so many pics, could have done it in an hours time). A little rugged at times (think having to cross a river over a fallen tree...More

There are two trails you can hike at Limekiln. My husband and I hiked both as they are both short but this is a beautiful small redwood forest. The first trail we took led us to two beautiful little waterfalls. It was not a hike...More

There were additional (6) parking spots in front of the shower area. It would be best to call the campground, because there is definitely no parking on highway 1 or anywhere outside of the campground close by.

If March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb, you may have warm April weather. We just camped there last year and with a drought, the upper creek was loud and flowing. Site 18 is on the bluff above the creek and this... More

We saw a lot of the campers with dogs, however I don't believe they are allowed on the trails. Hope that helps!
