I visited here towards the end of May for one night. I picked this camp ground due to it's location and convenience for my trip. Super happy I ended up here. There are two options for camping. One is near the beach and one is...More

We drove to this Limekiln State Park from Treebones Resort. $10 per car for the day. We hiked to see the waterfall. Then relaxing by the beach that a creek meets the ocean where there is good mix of stones near the creek and enough...More

We really enjoyed hiking the trails in this park. The falls trail does require some good footwear and good balance to cross the creeks but we did it even with a toddler on our backs so it's not overly challenging. The limekiln trail is pretty...More

I started off my day in Big Sur here at 9am just as a soaking overnight rain began to let up. I was worried that this was not an auspicious start to a day of outdoors and hiking, but this place blew me away! There...More

We stayed here on a road trip up the California coast to Portland, OR. We reserved camp spot #22, in the Redwoods section. It was gorgeous! We were right above the creek and amongst the Redwoods. It's a smaller park so there weren't a lot...More

Best short hikes in the area - worth the drive all the way down the coast to take them. You get to see redwoods, a gorgeous creek, a 100 foot waterfall, an ocean view, and then a cove beach. Oh yeah and there are the...More

We were going to visit Limeklin state park and took the Pacific road #1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It took us so late admiring the whole beautiful sea sights and suddenly there it was, a kind of tunnel in the middle of nowhere....More

We came around 1pm and was told that there was no space so we were turned away. Don't understand since the parking lot didn't even look full. Ended up driving down here for nothing.

Well worth the trip down Highway 1, this is an excellent day trip. Pack a lunch as there are nice picnic tables, bathrooms, etc. Although called a State Park, it is privately run so State Park Pass is not valid. Great camp sites in the...More

You can reserve online or call 800-444-7275. I would say minimum of three months ahead maybe earlier than that. It is a cozy small campground. But there are many state campgrounds in this region

There were additional (6) parking spots in front of the shower area. It would be best to call the campground, because there is definitely no parking on highway 1 or anywhere outside of the campground close by.
